Who Makes The Best Chicken Sandwich?

Tried the McDonald's one a few days ago, and it was a lot like Chick-Fil-A's, and McDonald's is closer to my house.

So feel free to argue in the comments.

 

Step 1: Buy frozen chicken patties from your local Walmart
Step 2: Buy hamburger buns
Step 3: Follow the instructions on the bag of chicken patties to microwave/cook it
Step 4: Use the buns to complete the chicken sandwich
Step 5: Congratulations, you have now made a chicken sandwich better than any restraunt

1 medium chicken breast
Cajun seasoning
Cooking oil
1 ciabatta roll
1 head romaine lettuce
4 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp lemon juice
~2 tsp salt
~1 tsp black pepper
1 large egg
2 oz parmesan cheese, grated (the pre-grated or powdered stuff will not work)

Boil the egg for 45 seconds - 1 minute to slightly cook it, but not enough that it is set. Evacuate to an ice bath.

Mix egg, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, salt and pepper in a cup, using a stick blender to mix thoroughly. Add parmesan in small increments until it is fully integrated. Set aside in the fridge.

Wash the lettuce and chop into small, bite-sized pieces. Set aside.

Thoroughly coat both sides of the chicken breast with the cajun seasoning. There should be little visible chicken. Add a small amount of oil to a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Cook until the spices on one side begin to blacken ( usually 4-5 minutes). Flip and repeat. While the chicken is cooking, lightly butter the ciabatta roll and toast it.

When the chicken is done, remove from the pan and allow to sit for around 5 minutes. Slice the chicken in thin strips, ½-1cm wide and put it on the roll. Combine the dressing and lettuce, and add to the sandwich (this recipe makes a lot more than needed). Add grated parmesan to taste.

Edit: I should also give a warning; this will smoke a little. Don't worry, that's perfectly normal unless it's smoking a lot, in which case worry. Just make sure you have a window open or something so you don't set off the fire alarm.

 

I have chicken sandwiches on a daily basis

 

My roommate makes some pretty good ones; he just doesn't always cook them thoroughly. I never had Chick-Fil-A.
