    I don’t think this refuted my statement
    Int warrior is exactly the thing I was criticizing
    Why hinder warrior in this way and not other classes?

    For instance, trift is easier to use of other classes cuz I can easily get 129 into, but on warrior I’d have to spec all the way to 139 to get benefits. I’ve only ever built 1 warrior build in 1.20 that goes to 139 int. 139 int is a very very very cumbersome int req, especially getting all that int sp

    and if I wanna use anima or electro mage Or chain rule I still have to go to 79 to get upper benefits, and by that point I might as well not use them and just get 105 int

    The thing is, while it should do that, it shouldn't do (with mythics) less the equivalent of a non mythic build for (as an example) archer (which I will mention has the same 4/5 damage rating as warrior.) Currently, warrior spear are terrible, there being only about 5 usable non mythic spears. The curse like effect would up the damage to the point of it being less than, but nearer to an equivalent to archer damage, where it should be as stated by the official website and in game descriptions

    Doesn't matter honestly, just take my statement as an addition to yours, not something attempting to counter your argument.
    That's kinda how I intended it, though, I'm honestly not sure what you're arguing for or against at this point XD probably my fault, not yours.

    If the spears suck, then buff the spears, not the class too make up for the spears.


    This is referring to the Base damage of the class, not the spells.
    (Note the website isn't a very accurate representation of a class's stats anyways, but even then, you're using them incorrectly.)
    The spell multipliers aren't supposed to be great on Warrior, see here:

    The base damage (Meaning the damage of the actual weapons, roughly, the base attack also helps determine the damage) is supposed to be equal to Archers, but the overall damage isn't.
    The Curse effect would actually bring the spell category up, not bring the base damage in line to what it should be, which is highly determined by weapons.
    This is what Warrior with the Curse effect looks like:

    If you want to bring it more in line to what it's supposed to be, then again, buff its spears.

    It's not a bad point but please don't use those things to indicate anything, it's such a problematic stereotype-forming "cool rpg graph" thing that's pushed by wynncraft even on the class selection screen.
    I'd prefer if they disappeared entirely or were heavily changed to reflect actual stats instead of dated "intent of the class" but i doubt that will ever happen...

    I bring them up because that was his argument:

    I'm pointing out that even looking at the website's stats, he got it wrong.
    (Specifically in terms of what it would be raising, and what they mean)

    Ok how about instead of this you start with making bash attack boost stack with warscream because right now warscream literally decreases spell dps because it takes precedence over the 50% (higher) boost. Also when is the bash stun going to be fixed.

    Wait, what?

    This isn't true on the items in game. Warrior weapons have the second lowest base in the game, above only mage (on average), and archer weapons have significantly higher base than similarly leveled spears. Uppercut actually has a really high spell multiplier (400% iirc, meteor being 500%). I think you've got this backwards.

    On page 1 or something I think selvut said that it could be named "Armour Breaking" or something which kinda fits uppercut imo

    In hero beta I reported "bash buff still being overwritten by war scream" as a bug and then Bartwalker (item team member, also the one who made this thread btw) said he'd prefer it if bash buff just was removed.
    This also is a reason why I feel like we really need the curse-like effect; not having bash buff (I'm actually using it, just ignore war scream if you want higher dmg) would greatly nerf warrior's dmg and the curse-like effect would hopefully make up for it

    I meant in terms of playstyle.
    It's a rush down, crowd control, tank class, I'm not sure it suddenly becoming a debuffing class really fits it, no matter what you name it.

    Yeah, I know. But I would still like to be able to take advantage of anima/electro/chain rule for low int, or go to 129 int like I do on other classes. I think not being able to do that is arbitrarily limiting on warrior. Unless you think there is a reason warrior should stay at 9 mana uppers (besides the fact that you might think it would make it more likely for IM's to give uppercut curse)

    I think that speaks for my argument more than it does against it. If you have to use anamnesis +int weapon to get to 139 int then it's probably not worth it almost ever since anamnesis is one of the ultimate niche helmets.

    Anamnesis Forsaken is a really powerful combination; don't forget stuff like Eden Blessed Guards or Greaves of the Veneer exist.

    I’m not forgetting those things exist. I’m saying it’s incredibly niche, and 129 int is far less niche and more achievable.

    And my point isn’t that the spell cost change wasn’t good. I’m saying that 9 mana uppers is arbitrary. Why don’t you want 8 mana uppers? (You’re implicitly defending not having 8 cost uppers, but why?)

    TBH you could create an entirely different class with this archetype called Paladin, because in most MMORPGs Paladins are tanky buff/debuff specialist support classes that may or may not have the ability to heal.

    It's a very versatile class that isnt bound to 1 playstyle
    imo 9 mana uppers + curse like effect is better than 8 mana uppers without a dmg buff

    All classes have a focused design goal, what makes them versatile is the build system, which allows you to essentially customize the class itself.
    Shamans are high damage, AoE, crowd control class, with a high skill ceiling; builds are what allow you to further diversify that, not the design of the class itself.
    Same with Archers, Assasins, and Mages, they are all designed with a core playstyle in mind, items and the skill system allow you to change that.
    Not having a specific design goal would leave them massively unfocused.
