What's the big deal with that you may be asking? Well, it's because Gavel doesn't discover Wynn until 900AP!!!
Why would they use the AP system in gavel at this time? They don't even know a Portal exist, much less would their years be indicated by it.

Somewhats worse is this appears all around Gavel, people from before 900AP using AP.
Conically, they should have only been using the AP for 100 years at the max, more logically they either shouldn't be using it at all or only after their relations with Wynn grew more important. Salted, fix your game now, before too many people see this, and die of insanity.

my only guess is that either 1. ap is universal (which is probably isn't) or 2. gavel may have their own ap or 3. it's such a minor detail it didn't really matter.

 

What if that's just the player translating whatever date system Gavel uses to something they understand? All the other discoveries and quests use AP so it's not too hard to assume the player just translates it into something they understand.

 

Well if you want it to be correct, then maybe use AD and BD (after decay starts and before decay starts)

I was more focused on hurricane tortilla and woman moment than the actual highlight lol.

There is no exageration when it comes to this, a typo once made Detlas 1 flick in and out of existance brutally murdering every living being insides for hours again and again

Yeah, I agree.
I would prefer something a little bit more interesting for the world-building like what if the years start when the first King takes over Gavel, which if you don't know is Remikas.

I prefer this a lot more because we know plenty about the Decay, but we don't have much in the way of world-building, especially for Gavel.

I'm pretty sure Remikas is likely cannon, but frankly it's hard to tell.
He said to consider it's not canon specifically because it is hard to tell what's canon and what's not. (Pretty sure anyways)

I remember asking around on the lore discord after doing one of the Sky Island Discoveries (the letter from a skyraider to the queen) about this, and I'd say it's something so newer players don't get confused, since having two different systems for years makes things complicated.
