Just Joined

SO I just joined the game and am combat lvl 12. So i choose mage and the game is not bad at all. I just wanna know like is there anything specific I can do that makes the game more enjoyable or something. Basically a checklist or something u feel me. Just some advice or smthing to be honest

 

It really depends on what you enjoy, for some people it’s quests or dungeons or secret discoveries or even pure grind

 

There isn't really anything crucial to having a good Wynncraft experience. Some people may suggest mods like Wynntils, which, while they have nice quality of life features, aren't really needed and can sometimes cause framedrops on low-end computers. I'd personally suggest you do as many quests as you can; some aren't super great but there's a lot of really fun ones and you can't really tell which ones you'll like until you try them all. I also wouldn't worry about items so much unless you really are having trouble killing enemies around your level or clearing dungeons, since people will often tell you to just wait until level 100+ to gather good items (The reason for this is that you usually can outlevel item builds by the time you gather the items required for them at lower levels).

The biggest thing I'd suggest is checking out the Wynncraft discord if you haven't. It's found at this thread https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/wynncraft-discord.171128/ and has a lot of really helpful players who can assist you if you're stuck on a quest or just have questions about game mechanics.

 

Use wynntils

 

Don't rush it. Rushing through the game will make it feel extremely boring.
Get immersed. Take your time to read through the lore you come across as you venture through wynn.

 

the lore is very good
take sometime to read through it
quests and dungeons are nice too
also do secret discoveries if you like lore

 

Only at lv.~50+ so you know the basic game (and can differ between Wynntils and Wynn bugs)

 

Play it slow, try not to use the wiki, but if you need to don't worry about using it.

One other thing is that bosses have special spell combos that they do. If you memorize these this makes the fight much easier, and also a lot more fun because you now are actually using skill instead of tanking every hit or getting lucky. For example there's a boss that always does 2 charges then a multihit. The multihit is devastating to glassier builds, so running away when it charges is a good idea.

 

Using wiki is nothing wrong,
feel free to use it as much as you want, it is completely normal

 

Using it has ruined a few amazing puzzles for me, but I will say that the wiki is really good if you are stuck on something. I use it quite often now, but only when I have spent a few minutes trying the puzzle myself.

Wynncraft is the Minecraft MMORPG, no mods required. It is designed to be used without mods. Wynntils has QoL features but they are nowhere near necessary to having a good experience. Don't force Wynntils down the throats of new players.

 

I was just reccomending it. The way points are cool and enhances the experience. Just saying lmao

 

The wiki does have a lot of story spoilers, some people probably want to avoid those.

 

Yeah, it's more like "wiki is good, but avoid unless necessary if you are looking at quests/secret discoveries (unless ofc you like spoilers)"
