I Have A Problem With Some Of The Bosses....

    Why do they teleport or jump around the boss room so frequently. Not all bosses but some bosses, mainly towards endgame. Like I can kill them pretty easily but they teleport all over the place to where i can't hit them. And sometimes when I am under prepared but can kill the boss, the boss teleports so much that I die from the boss summons. Sometimes it feels like that's the only "difficulty" of the boss is that it jumps or teleports around the map. The fallen factory boss was terrible. It was teleporting so much it took me a bit to kill it. I wasn't even close to dying I was just chasing the boss. Idk maybe I'm stupid but some bosses teleport or jump around the map too much.

    Also when the server lags in a boss fight, if they do a decent amount of dmg I get comboed to oblivion and die. Not as big of a problem as the tp thing.

    It's just to make the boss difficult, game would be pretty dull and boring if bosses just stood there and was a punching bag. (Looking at you Death)

    Also, the bosses who tend to teleport a lot I find don't do as much damage unless you are standing in the path of the teleport, which for myself isn't that frequent.

    Seems to me like the boss moving around has done it's intendent purpose...

    also its annoying
    if you arent mage, shaman, or archer you are pretty much screwed
    you wont die but its going to be a long struggle of chasing something like a psyhcomancer all over the place

    yes they can teleport, but they teleport way to much. Half of them don't even do damage they're just a stray cat running around. Like there 1% dmg 99% running around doing nothing which is plain boring. Some bosses has different mechanics too which makes it look like some bosses were just rushed out.

    So I have to rely on bomb arrow for bosses now. Some classes just have a better fit for these types of bosses but there boring. I've gotta spam the same spell over and over to kill the boss, and the aoe on bomb arrow is not big at all. It would be a cool gimmick for a few bosses but not the amount of bosses there is rn

    Thats one but from what I've gotten from that boss is that it tps when you look at it which is quite a cool gimmick

    the rol 3 boss and the first boss of qira hive made me physically angry because of how much of a pain in the fucking ass they were. I would rather have them be punching bags than teleport once every split second

    the rol 3 boss is called warden of wisdom, and yeah I think we shouldnt just be swarmed by clones while he just teleports to the corner of the room like a stupid coward, it gets really annoying.
    also they should nerf psyhcomancer so that he doesnt spam teleport that hard

    Going to be frank, this doesn't work most the time.
    On warrior at least, unless you invest in mana, or walk speed, the enemy will have usually teleported somewhere else by the time you would be able to reach it with these spells. That being said, I'm not sure it's the best salution anyways.

    Look, weather or not they are potentionally managable, they are still rather annoying for players, which tends to be an indaction of poor boss design.
    One of the most commonly understood rules of boss design is predictabilty, which is something these bosses tend to lack almost enterily. (Note I mean for the avarage player, given you know the boss in and out, and you know the distance it teleports and the number of times, you can possible predict it by some mircale when you consider you're own postion in realative to the boss.) That is to say however that most players, inculding most skilled ones, will have a hard to predicting, reacting, and generally dealing with these types of bosses. (Using skill, and not pure spam)

    Note, most of what I said can also be lumped at other kinds of bosses aswell. Invisabilty bosses are one such example, they tend to be mostly a test of how many spells and a attacks a player can throw in a general direction they think the boss is.

    from what I've heard (Highest class is lv. 77) Antikythera is basically Haros but he is Super Sanic. The best strategy here would be to use fire/thunder(?) build and focus on the boss instead of the minions, so the boss wouldn't run around faster than the speed of light.

    It would be easy if the bosses just stood still to get spell spammed.

    Yes im not stupid. I'm saying they do it to much. They can teleport but if teleporting is the only way to make a boss take skill or is the difficulty of the boss is plain boring. Make there a phase where they can't get hit and you gotta kill the mobs to hit him again. Do something like in galleons graveyard where only cannon balls can hit the boss ( make it harder ), there are many more mechanics you can make to make a boss not a punching bag rather than making it zoom every 2 seconds across the boss arena

    wait what, archer is wayy easier to beat those kinds of bosses since you dont have to chase them at all. the main AOE issue is for the other classes, archer can still kill it ormally
    IIRC the FF boss stops teleporting when you kill all minions then you can get some hits in before it starts again, its a nifty mechanic, but if im wrong about the minion thing i know for sure that it does stop at times.

    i mean, still keep it, just not make so that they dont spam it every 3 seconds
    but if its really that much of a problem, bullet hells are pretty fun ( but probably laggy )
