I've seen lots of people in the forums commenting on the new updates (around 1.18-1.20), ranging from useful feedback to ranting about them. I honestly think they are really good improvements. Is there something I am missing?

Which new ones? If you’re talking about the strength and dexterity fiasco it got reverted. Your post is super vague

Thats still extremely vague. Theres a lot of different updates between 1.18 and 1.20 and the updates themselves have a lot of different things that can be talked about.

From what I know I think the biggest problems were in recent 3 months, I think 1.18 and 1.19 went really smoothly (not remember that well though)

    Some problems that occurred:
    - giant dupe and the possibility of rollback (didn't happen in the end)
    - market being down for a long time
    - HERO beta for 1.20 being super buggy
    - CHAMPION perks controversy
    - buggy launch
    - str/dex change

Most of it seems like just a lack of communication between community and admins (e.g. Salted didn't make an announcement about the dupe, just replied to 1 thread; Made str/dex change without telling item makes soon enough) and some problems that were to be expected due to 1.20 being massive update.

there is not much really "bad"

I suppose there were some controversies in 1.18 and 1.19 like the entirety of professions as well as the mythic market crashing due to lq. Though, I do agree that the major controversies are way more recent and mostly caused by admin miscommunication.

The whole lead-up to 1.18 and its launch were a dumpster fire. First of all, we were told the next update was going to be "Road to Dern", which, well, it wasn't. After it was announced that 1.18 was in fact not going to be Road to Dern, a lot of people understandably got pissed, but at least the upcoming features such as professions seemed exciting. Of course, as we all know, professions turned out to be shit. In the end, it left much of the community disappointed, doubly so, and with very little appeal to those who didn't want to engage in professions.
1.18 also raised the level cap. Remember how it didn't actually preserve the your XP value, but just your level? All the 101's got screwed over. In fact, if you had a level 100 class that was, say, halfway to 101, you would get more XP than a class that was actually 101. And then the developers just said "well 101 was just an easter egg so you shouldn't have expected it to stay", ignoring the fact they were basically just removing progress from people. Of course, it's not as egregious as something like Champion and luckily it was fixed eventually, but it did leave a really bad taste after all the disappointment from the 1.18 update.

1.19 though was smooth as butter as far as I remember. Only problem people had there is that it felt like an incredibly long wait for not that much content, since a lot of people didn't like the SE quests.

That might explain why I got to 105 really quickly after the update, lol

The market was also closed for like, months iirc sometime after 1.18 dropped, and it was supposed to be one of it's major features

1.20 was overall a wonderful update. 1.19 was too. No update is perfect, but thats what patches and hotfixes are for. CHAMPION is a little more p2w than we were told it would be, but overall 1.20 added a lot to wynn that wynn needed (gavel reworks, more endgame content, cool features)

Guilds aside, pretty lovely update. And guilds are still being worked on (see hotfix 6)

So far, I think that 1.20 has largely improved the game. I like how the tool system has now been implemented into some of the quests, the new item identifier in Ragni and some of the new touch ups to the map.

My one question is this. When will the map on this website get updated?

Generally speaking, 1.19 was well-received with relatively minimal issues - Hunted was the biggest thing that can reasonably be called an issue, and relative to 1.18 and 1.20 that's not that much.

    Wtf.
There are good things in every update and bad things in every update. Saying "I like them" or "I dont like them" isnt really possible.

I mean look at the perfect example: 1.20.
It was one of the best updates and at the same time one of the worst.
The new builds are beautiful, the new quests are (mostly) amazing. The new secret discoveries are really cool and Raids are very gamer. On the other hand the champion rank was a gigantic disrespect to everyone who supported wynncraft over the years. Its literally a p2w rank and excludes other players from important features. Housing without Hero is very dissapointing and you cant even use Build Stands without Champion. Pet-Tasks are super unfair and the many bugs in 1.20 are annoying to say the least.

You see every update has bad and good features.
1.20 was great and the worst at the same time, also whoever thought about champion (cough* probably salted cough*): go think about your life
