    There’s no conversation going on here. Let me fix that!

    So...What do y’all think of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series? Personally, I think books 1-6 were the golden age, books 7-10 were just okay, and there was a noticeable decline in quality from book 11 onwards.

    The main problem with the newer books is that they’re not funny (and it’s not just because I’m not in the target audience anymore- I reread all the DOAWK books I own, and books 1-6 still make me laugh to this day). The last book I bought and read was book 13, and that was the only one that I didn’t finish reading in one sitting. There are currently 2 DOAWK books that I haven’t read yet, and maybe I’ll give them a chance someday, but not now.

    I still buy the new books but I agree that the series should have ended after the 12th one (maybe the 9th one).
