I noticed that raid buffs were changed yesterday, so we decided to speedrun the boss again.

I'll explain some strategies and tips when it comes to fighting the colossus in this spoiler

I've heard there are still some players still struggle with the boss fight, hopefully this will help and possibly make your run smoother and easier.
One of the most important things is the party line-up, and how do they interact with one another.
For example, If you are trying to boost your team's dps with Hero (warrior build), then your party would have to limit the overall healing power, to ensure Hero's major ID activates as long as possible.
Or let's say your team has toxoplasmosis, then your healer would have to avoid using KoH or anything with poison dmg. Because of one simple game mechanic, multiple poison ticks do not stack, only the first one will register. In this case, if the KoH user were to touch the boss at all, toxo's poison dmg might get completely nullified.
Here are some of my recommendations if you are running the raid for the first time or if your teammates aren't that familiar with the raid:
Having two or more dps class picking def/hp oriented buff, and one healing or tank class getting the guardian major ID (intrepid I) unless they use guard.
For class with AoE attacks (like bomb arrows & shaman melee), try to hit multiple parts of the boss at the same time. For example, at phase 2 archers can hit arrow bombs right around the center and dmging all 3 parts. while arrow-storming the mouth.
I'd like to say offense is the best defense, this concept goes here, b/c if you were to kill the mouth quick enough, pesky minons spawn rate will be reduced, giving your team a much higher chance of survival.
Remember always do the core before you finish both eyes, that's gonna prevent the boss fight from breraking.
At phase 3, I would recommend your party to jump off once teleported, so that you can start from Cerebellum, and work your way to the mouth. if your team is experienced yall split up and do both ears at the same time, if not just stick together, as long as the chosen players are alive, you'll be able to finish the raid.

The party line-up & Buff choices include:

Strati & Crafted Water Bow (Raw_Fish)
Giant I, Monk II, Monk III

Melee Singularity (honoka_pitaya)
Pestilent I, Giant II, Stonewalker III (so there’s a bug for honoka where he picks both stonewalker II and III, the buffs would clear, like gone. so he went with different ones)
Full dmg Crafted Water Bow (orange_par)
Stonewalker I, Intrepid II, Intrepid III (Monk would’ve been better but luck was bad)

DPS Monster (TheQueenofDemons)
Monk I, Giant II, Monk III

Dude that is actually mental. I'm a returner to Wynncraft, haven't touched the game in something like a year, and seeing those new, cool bosses I haven't even fought yet, killed at this insane speed, is just amazing.

I think you should make either a video or a separate forum post on your strategy; maybe a group in the community with better gear and more time could bring down the time by a lot :)

I was thinking about adding the "strategy part" in this thread, or as you've mentioned, create another post. But yeah the point is to help others in the community, for a smoother and easier raid experience :)

 

Honestly, now that I think about it, creating a post for the strats could be useful for casual running as well, not just speedrunning. After all, speedrun strats can make some parts of games a lot easier.

Yeah that would be helpful since most regular parties would take anywhere from 4 to 10 minutes in the boss room.

Somewhat similar, only toxo was replaced with another Archer. (Doing this b/c the newly changed buffs go quite well with it)
However, all 4 builds were changed to ensure high dmg/efficiency without relying on any pots c:
