Left the sb subforum (and the game) to join wynncraft as I was told it was really fun, I am having some fun but really dislike my class and don't know what to do. On top I don't know what the "goal" is.
But, I still am having fun doing extra side quests.

    Long live wynncraft!

There really is no goal to Wynncraft other than to do the quests and enjoy the world and its story. You could say the goal is to do 100% all the quests and get to level 105/106 but I'd say don't rush it. Personally, Wynn is better experienced at a slow pace allowing you to enjoy the story, the world, everything.
Some advice I'd give for your first playthrough is to not focus too much on the professions and gathering (Woodcutting, mining, crafting ect.), as these can be really tedious and boring to level up. Really you should mainly focus on bringing up your combat level by doing dungeons, quests, killing mobs and raids.
If you have any questions on the game, post them in the questions section on the forums here or on the Wynncraft discord.

If you enjoy it go to town on it, but if you ever feel overwhelmed by the grind you can always take a break.

Don't do profs (Woodcutting, Mining, Fishing, Farming) you'll thank me later. Just do quests and then start profs once you hit lvl 80 or so

Do they give you buffs? Like in skyblock? Or is it just extra.

You can use those materials to craft stuff (crafting professions) which can give good stats.
You can also sell them (if the name has 2 or 3 stars in it) for decent amounts of money.

Now, just focus on quests and leveling up your character. Don't worry too much about the other aspects right now

There is not much of a goal
Just turn off the brain and explore like you would do in any open world game, then turn it on whenever you realize there is an actual story going on
Don't worry too much about "Am I doing things right" just worry about "Does this cave contain Corrupted Jumla"

like many have said, there is no "End goal" in wynncraft. You just do whatever you want to do. Oh? You found a cave with human heads on a pike? Go in! I'm sure it will turn out fine...

Oh, I thought it was all a storyline based game, so while looking for my next quest I got bored and chopped trees.

It is, just the storyline is broken up into regions and quests and secrets. It might not seem to be much individually, but when you look at it as a complete work I would say it gives the world amazing history and lore.

If you have any questions about the lore either ask in the questions forums or start a convo with me, I will answer

    me promoting lore where possible

I would say it is more of a lore-based game, the only type of order the game has is chronological-level order, in the sense that you are supposed to do things at the level they are designed for, which means that the game is not responsible for plot holes that might happen because you did a level 40 discovery after a level 80 quest

But yeah the way you play is your own choice, if you want to do discoveries before quests, do it; if you want to grind your way up and nothing else, do it; if you want to do quests before discoveries, do it; if you want to use crafted items exclusively, you are a huge masochist, but that's what Craftsman mode is for; if you want to do lots of dungeons, go ahead

To sum up: Play however you want in the order you want, just remember that content is best enjoyed at its designed level so it is recommended you don't do a level 20 quest when you are already at level 80
