The name of the Treasurer of Gavel - a villager - is Gelt. They called a treasurer with a large nose Gelt. If you don't know, gelt is money given as presents during Hanukkah, the Jewish holiday. I want to talk to whoever made this decision lmao.

 

Although it definitely is somewhat questionable, I hope it isn't necessarily referring to that:

you should probably change the thread title to something more descriptive, something like "Gelt as a name is :woozy_face" or some other more sensical variation so it's actually searchable and not the 20th "is no one going to __"

hey guys while i have nothing against the name "greg" i would like to point out a relevant example of a "greg" in pop culture.
the book "Lunch Money" by Andrew Clements (pictured below)

has a protagonist named Greg Kenton. if one pays more attention to Greg here's last name, Kenton, they will be shocked to discover it is a brand of German cigarettes!! (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenton_(cigarette))
additionally, in the novel, Greg is described as having 2 primary defining characteristics: making money and his long-standing competition with his annoying neighbor, Maura Shaw.

obviously, the money connection here does not need to be explained. However, the immature competition exhibited by his behavior towards maura, eventually escalated into a "war" of sorts. i personally feel like this type of immature conduct is incorrect for an official of a large region, such as gavel.
