An Ending

What do you guys think an ending to wynncraft entail? (what I mean is a final update like a journeys end in terraria) how would the community react? or more importantly, how would the plot conclude?

 

Well there are a few main things that need to happen to end the game:
1. Defeat Bak'al and his corrupted army (Not Done Yet) - Wynn
2. Defeat the Dern Beast (Not Done Yet) - Just Everywhere
3. Save Orphion (1.20.1 done) - Just Everywhere
4. Defeat Antikythera (1.16 done) - Corkus
5. Defeat the Canyon Colossus (1.2o done) - CotL
6. Save the Doguns (1.18 done) - Molten Heights
7. Stop the Decay somehow (Not Done Yet) - Olux Swamp/Dark Forest/Kander Forest
8. Go back to Fruma and stop everyone else from being brainwashed (Not Done Yet) - Fruma
Those are the main areas of Wynncraft, whether (and when) they were possible to add, and their solutions, I would say.

 

The last quest does already feel very final, through the dialogue and the plot itself, I don't think there will be a more final ending soon.

The only next logical step I can think of would be a final adventure in Dern (so right after tthe mysterious ??? of AHC), both of these tasksare connected to Dern. I'm just not quite sure how the player would even defeat Bak'al, since he is supposed to be more powerful than the player, but who knows what will come in the Orphion raid...
A very very final task for the player would of course be the Dern Beast, it is waaaaay stronger than any character we know yet (I mean, Bak'al himself is only a servant of the Dern Beast). Because of that, I cannot think of any way for the player to defeat the Dern Beast directly, it could come to an end by a battle of the influential planes (Orphion vs Dern Beast). But even with the Dern Beast dead, the Wynn province would still suffer from the corruption, so there would have to be a big quest in the nether portal area I think.

As to the decay, it got created because of the fight between light and dark, the player can't really influence these events. I'm not sure if killing the parasite would end the spreading of the decay, the parasite was just the first appearance of it. So again, it might come to an end through another battle of light and dark, I don't really know.

 

What about Siegfriend being the final boss?

Yeah I guess, but given that the player can defeat the Overseer of Wynn (The Eye) and a Colossus of the same kind that shattered the whole Sky Islands into two areas one of which is almost inaccessible without complex machinery, I would think we could at least defeat Bak'al.
Also, he was scared of Bob, and we defeat both his Reincarnation (well maybe) and a robot far more powerful than it.
It is also speculated that he went to Dern just like the player.

Anyway those are my arguments, and if TrapinchO (or really anyone) wants to argue with me please do

 

Looks like we all forgot the beginning in a search for an end! There's still likely Fruma as well as Dern, providing a backstory to the player and all the other Ragni Recruits. Most likely it'll culminate in a battle against the Queen of Fruma

 

That's what he wants you to think, he's like Superman and Clark Kent. His secret identity hiding a great power

 

I would also like to go to Fruma and find out what happens there. I have a theory that the king of Fruma actually created the corruption in the first place and released it on Dern and later Wynn. So, perhaps he is the final boss and you find out your past which you didn't learn in Recover the Past.

did everyone forgot about the nether in favor of dern :( i personally would like to be able to enter the nether portal, and maybe even see how that world was like before the corruption takes over.

Hmm but the problem in Olux Swamp is the Decay, and the Grootslangs are just some random quest and raid.

the grootslangs have the ability to turn the entirety of west gavel into a sinkhole, which is caused by the decay.

I just realized that if we dont do anything about NoG and TCC Gavel just gets yeeted out of existence

i agree those are things that need to be done but what i mean is how would this all end? with a final face-off with the beast of dern or a fight with the queen of fruma or something completely differant?

 

Perhaps because they weren't being model citezens like those that we saw in recover the past. It was too messy and looked bad to kill them directly, so she sent them to wynn instead, where they would die in the army.

 

that makes sense although closing there gates because there scared of the corruption makes no sense to me if this theory is true

I think it would be a bit suspicious if Fruma wasn't scared of the corruption, Also, closing the gates left nosy tourists from seeing what happens within Fruman walls and made it harder for citizens to escape.
