The Evolved.

This is the bow you can find from Eldritch Outlook dungeon merchant.
Since this dungeon is the endgame dungeon, every rewards are strong and unique, except this weapon.

This weapon is.. just dull poison bow. And we know that sane people won't use such weapon.

And then this weapon has been considered as meme weapon and has been forgotten from people..



And after 1.20 major update, this weapon has been touched.


And this is how it looks ingame.
What's changed?

- Very Fast attack speed, which is helpful for making it into melee build.
- -4 1st spell cost. Negative spell cost makes more sense than -30%!
- 775 raw melee. VERY HIGH raw melee damage!
- and some


That's right.

The Evolved has been EVOLVED!



So I decided to make build with it, and this was the result.

This is pretty high dps for melee build!

But there's more!
Since this build is using poison, I can use powder special, and if I use t6 curse special, I can get..


40k DPS

775 Melee Damage with a -4 to Arrow Storm and is already Very Fast, what was the item team thinking...

This is the brilliant idea
Answer is already shown in video but let me explain.

Arrow storm helps with many situation :

- Spreading poison
- Social distancing
- Blocking mob from charge

Since this weapon is used with melee build, that build doesn't have mana sustain thus it'll have trouble on dealing dangerous situations
(unless it has defense)
However, that negative spell cost helps you cast spell with build without mana sustain, so survivability increases!

Oh you know Salted and his patches...
Overpowered weapons don't linger too long under his watchful eye. Even his signature says it, "Nerfing your builds since 2013."
I can possibly see Evolved in a spell build become pretty good with its -4 to arrow storm.

 

That's not true either
Base damage is already saying that it's not for spell
And such firepower can be created in common spell builds

 

its massive average base damage of 45 is sure gonna hit hard in some spell builds huh
