I've been on here for a few days but didn't know this existed lol

I first played way back in 2014 and then stopped just before Gavel came out. Coming back to it now has honestly been amazing. Since it's been such a long time there's so much to do that it's honestly kinda overwhelming (in a good way), plus the nostalgia for certain areas makes it even better. Hopefully i'm gonna stick around and actually play further than Bob's Lost Soul this time lmao

Thanks! The Ocean actually was in the game when I last played but I don't remember there being much to do there. I might be wrong though since I don't think I ever went to most of the islands

As others have said, if you ever get TOO overwhelmed, just ask someone! (Or check the wiki)
There's just been a major Gavel revamp, so people will likely be very open to clarifying new things.
Also, you should find that the grind is a lot easier now if you do quests and secret discoveries.
