Guide Dimensions Of Housing Plot Without Hero Rank

with the addition of housing in 1.20, you are given a small island on which you can build your own house using provided blocks and blocks purchased with materials. However, you are only allowed to use a smaller are on this island to build if you do not have the HERO rank or higher. This area is outlined by some small flame particles, but it does a poor job at showing the exact area in which one can build. So, I took it upon myself to find the exact area in which a non-HERO player can build upon on their housing island:

From the center block, you can build 25 blocks outwards from each side. this makes for a total of 51 blocks across in both directions.

Some additional notes:
- You are allowed to build up to the sky limit.
- The lowest Y level you can go is Y = 96, below this is unbreakable blocks that make up the rocky part of the island on the bottom.

It is irritating there is no path leading from the dock to the centre.

When they said hero rank + had bigger plot i thought they meant bigger islands and not the case they had more of the island...

I thought hero+ would be able to build out to the corner or something but this is a bit suck

 

Oh yeah, that's actually the case. So not only do Hero rank players get the rest of the island, they also get an extra amount because they can build out to the corners. Not that I counted, but that's probably around triple the build space that non-Hero+ players get.

 

I didn't even know this was a perk for HERO. I would think everyone gets the whole island, but I guess not.
I think it would be better if players had to spend Emeralds to buy extra land, not make it so you have to buy an expensive Rank to do so. Even VIP would be fine imo.

 

I think rank or emerald, or really anything is good; but the fire stopping you from accessing that part of the island is a bit silly.
Making the island change size would be much better imo

Well anyway, the original point of this post was to just outline the plot in which a non-hero player can build upon, so you can center your builds and whatnot. Hope this helped/will help anyone who needs it.

I'm fine with the changing size by rank, it fits the usual normal rank stuff, but having an ugly ring of grass is a bit oof. At least it's just a cosmetic issue.

 

The thing is, if that grass ring wasn't there, you'd just have a floating house with no island around it depending on the size of it. Plus, not everyone is going to have it as a house, some may want to have an open field or a parkour course or something, like in Hypixel.
