SPOILER Strange New Dr Legendary Lore From The Feathers Fly

So I haven't seen anybody point this out yet, but there's a (known) easter egg in The Feathers Fly part 2 that is very similar to a different secret from Misadventure on the Sea. To do it, you need to feed Pip the dog a treat from the kitchen downstairs. It unlocks a secret costume for Ava which changes up the dialogue in the quest as well as some extra ingredients. This costume is called ''Power Armor''. I noticed something about it though, and this certain detail is something that thus far has seemingly gone under the radar (i imagine someone has already pointed this out and im just blind but whatever)

Comparing the two, there are noticeable similarities. It's possible that the armor Ava is wearing here is a prototype model of the battle armor seen in LI, or even an upgraded version. It's said in the quest that the Power Armor makes Ava stronger, there is even a part where she says she could kill you easily wearing it.

Let me point out some similarities:
There appears to be a core of some sort in the middle of the armor that glows blue and is covered with metal bars
Golden parts under the shoulders
Goggles
Rear head protection
Some sort of bandanna thing protecting the mouth

My immediate guess was ''Pip is Dr. Legendary's dog and Dr. Legendary lives in the Corkus Castle.'' However, I noticed a flaw with these theory while i was going back through the quest to get the screenshot of Ava in the power armor. There is a note in the quest that tells you how to get the dog treat for this easter egg, left by Pip's owner. The way this note is written makes me nearly certain that Dr. Legendary doesn't own Pip.

The note talks like a stereotypical hippie/teenager, saying things like ''dude'' and being a lot more relaxed. Meanwhile, Dr. Legendary talks very excited and is proud of his inventions, sounding like a true inventor man. This is pretty weird to me.

So if Dr. Legendary doesn't live in that place, who does? And why is his armor hidden there? I have a few theories.

• Dr Legendary doesn't invent robots, he actually steals designs from young inventors and replicates them. This would explain the stereotypical teenage language and the noticeable differences between the 2 suits
• This note was left by Dr Legendary when he was younger. The reason the suits look different is because the one he wears while battling you is slightly damaged
• The note was written by one of Dr Legendary's interns or something. This intern actually lives there and he is tasked with storing the Power armor. This is because if it was left at Legendary island and fell into the hands of the Corkian Nationalists or some other evil force on the island, there would be problems. It is instead kept here, locked away in a secret room. That wouldn't really explain the fact that the 2 ingredients in the room with the Power Armor would be used for engineering.
• This area is not actually a home, but a changing room. The note was left by someone who was currently using a suit from it to do a meeting with the council or something, which is why the mechanic suit is there. It also explains why there are so many formal suits in the area. As for the power armor, it is hidden by Dr. Legendary in the changing room area and Pip knows where to find it because maybe he goes to wait for his owner all the time.
• These suits are only coincidentally similar

These all seem like plausible theories to me. Let me know what you think because this is quite a puzzling thing and since little is known about it it's mostly down to guessing.

 

This seems pretty plausible.
Another plausible theory is that while the suits are powerful and rare, there are a few in existence and not just one.
And it may be they both work differently but look similar, and are merely built using the same concept.

 

This is very unlikely in my opinion since Dr. Legendary did in fact travel the world to visit these creatures and study them, the Seaskipper even mentions how he was his most frequent customer because of his adventures. I don't think he would study them only to steal the designs from other inventors.

 

Other reason: "salted: HM YES. LETS TAKE 2 COMPLETLY DIFFRENT QUEST'S AND ADD A EASTER EGG. AS A dOg ( this was i joke. Salted is a very pog person. )

Even then, Salted didn't have much to do with the quest's development. Jbip handled most of the writing and design alongside Grian.

Besides, If I'm not mistaken, multiple Corkus guards have a nearly identical getup to what Ava had on.

 

Corkus guards wear a different armor by the looks of things. More exposed.
