Assassin

So I've been playing as an assassin, and have gotten the hang of the different spells, but I'm not exactly sure what the best method of fighting and best use of skillpoints is for the assassin.

I'm only level 38 so far, but the more I level up the less I know what bonuses I should be looking for on my gear, and likewise what weaponry would perform the best for me.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated, although preferably without mythic or fabled items being taken into consideration as I don't see myself getting any of those for quite a while.

 

Put skill points into whatever you need for your armour. Then dump the rest into intelligence until you hit the highest threshold on this chart https://www.wynndata.tk/mana/. If you have any left after that they go into defence or agility, whichever you prefer.
For play style spell builds are better but I find melee to be more enjoyable. For spell builds it is recommended to use mana steal because mana regen ticks don’t happen while vanished. On assassin heavy melee builds can be very powerful.
Assassin does also have some combos.
You can trap enemies in you smoke bomb with spin attack.
You can vanish before doing anything to make it hit harder.
If you opponent moves fast you can use spin attack to stun it so you can hit it with melee attacks or multihit.
The weapon you should use if going with spell build is Hashr’s claw from sand swept tomb.
