Trying to figure out what the best profession will be to level alot and what is the most profitable. I'm tired of selling my stuff to the blacksmith so I'm hoping I can stock some stuff up for when the trade market comes back. Any suggestions that will make me filthy rich?

In order of profit: Tailoring>Jeweling>Scribing=Cooking=Alchemism>Everything else
However, seeing as you are on your first play through, I heavily discourage you from doing professions until you level one class all the way

Got it. That means just get a feel for the map and game?

Also, what makes tailoring so good? What's the typical profit you can make from it?

AND can you make money farming raw materials too?

Profs are just really grindy, thats why its usually a good idea to skip them

    tailoring=loot quality pants and boots

well, kinda, t3 high lvl mats can be sold for a good amount of emeralds, there are better money making methods tho

That makes sense, I am a grindy person though so that's why it attracts me lol. I typically like to go for a long term grind of the same thing that I know I can profit from vs like trying to test my luck trying to get a rare drop that may or may not ever actually drop.

So can you always get loot quality pants and boots from it or is it at random?

What are considered high level mats? Can low level mats be sold too or is it less useful?

yes, you always get loot quality items but only if you use correct items (they can be better or worse tho, its random)
I belive that all lvl 80+ t3 mats can be sold for like 1 le each, not sure tho
    you will like lootrunning then

No, it means after conpleting all quests and (possibly) discoveries.

It will be also faster, because you won't have to stop every now and then to lvl up combat

Gathering is pretty profitable too since mats especially t3s are worth a lot. Other than grains, meat and wood, the rest are usually worth between 48eb-2le per t3 mat. You also get a lot of t1s and t2s from that which you can also sell for a pretty good price

There is literally no tangible benefit to getting to 106. At 105 you will have unlocked be able to get any profession to max and profit from it.

I’m not saying never get to 106, but you don’t NEED it for anything.

Ye. Currently t3 paper and oil are like 48eb per, ingots and string are like 1-1.25 le per and gems are being sold at like 2le per rn. So overall mining is the most profitable but im not sure which is better since t1 gems dont sell for much
