Various Game Questions

Here's a bullet list of quick questions I have to ask about various stuff in the game:

• Does Thorns damage get buffed by Endurance or Rage?
• Are Powder Specials worth the investment at Levels 40-50?
• How much INT does it take to get -50% Mana costs?
• Nivla Forest wood-grinding's so, so boring, but it makes a lot of Emeralds. Since I'm broke, should I be grinding Emeralds?
• Is it a good idea to get into Loot Running at my Level?

I'll likely add more later, since I'll probably gain a few more questions to ask.

 

• Does Thorns damage get buffed by Endurance or Rage?
  Neither since it's a reflection of enemy damage

  Not really, but getting some powders on your weapons can help with bosses

  68 points, but depending on the original cost of the spells you can drop it by 1 by the math shown below @Diamond_Laser if you care to know it.
  
  
• Nivla Forest wood-grinding's so, so boring, but it makes a lot of Emeralds. Since I'm broke, should I be grinding Emeralds?
  Professions can be a good way to do this, but finding T3-4 chest is better. Quest give a lot of emeralds as well. Honestly would recommend using your totems in a "grind spot" bowl shaped areas on the map have already high spawn rates. If you don't have totems, just lmk I never use all of mine so.
• Is it a good idea to get into Loot Running at my Level?
  You won't get any mythics, but you can hammer out some legendarys and a few emerald blocks per run, it won't hurt really. Though I'm not sure if anyone has lootruns set up for lvl 40-50

 

i don't think u should think about loot run until like 90/100 or something i forget
i mean you have to grind more soon youll make enough emeralds to cover ur expenses from that

just dont worry about builds until like 90 youll be fine with gear u get from grinding to get to next quest level

 

1. Probably not
2. Powders at low level are pretty decent but you should probably use at most Tier 4s because those are the best 'common' powders
3. You can use the wynndata mana tables to see https://www.wynndata.tk/mana/
4. At low levels emeralds aren't really needed that much though, but quests are one of the best ways to get money at low level
5. Lootrunning is pretty meh at low level, it's more of an endgame kinda thing, you should still probably explore if you can and open any chests you find just to get good gear

Bonus is to try doing quests, quests are the main content in the game and makes the monotonous grind much less, at least until endgameish

 

50% int reduction is 68 int (check wynndata manatables for this). Don't lootrun until lvl 100+, just use what you find

Fair point, I was just thinking since they are lvl 40-50 they may not have enough points to drop them all into int or the gear like blue mask to help, so just wanted to focus more on what can help drop the cost of the more expensive spells. Thanks for the direct number thou

 

It's also the fact that intel points : % reduction isn't a linear scale. The reduction that int points return diminishes as you add more (capping at 80.8% at 150 int points) and since the reduction points for spells are not synchronised due to spellcosts as well as the weird ways fractions/decimals/percentages scale against eachother means that 14 denominations will only coincidentally work in some cases. The best way of getting the right intel values is knowing your raw spellcosts (i.e. 6 for spin/heal) then knowing that you reduce your cost when your intel points correspond to a % reduction just over a value of x/spellcost (x/6 for spin/heal) (i.e. 68 in = >50% reduction = 50% less cost = 3 cost spins/heals.

with tm down, hat scrapping is a bit harder to find a buyer, but yea, check wynntils discord for a good llevangir one and go at it (use a good lq set tho if you can), and plan stops in vallages so all ur emmeralds don't end up in /gu contibute

 

I do get 2 5-Minute Mob Totems every day now. Any good grind spots (preferably without Ranged Enemies)?

Are you talking about a specific item or just the entire area's worth of Mobs? I can do either - a Loot Bonus build of mine (full Jewelry) would last for ages out on the Emerald Trail, and it's pretty solid, too. (72% LB with only the Jewelry!)

Also, do you know if trying to grind for T3 Items is worth my time (at any level?)

Most if not any caves.

If you go West of Lusco you get to a decent grind spot

 

It is literally impossible to get LQ at that level without a high level player using an LQ scroll.
