    Morning, afternoon, or good evening!
I'm relatively new to this game (I have a 20 warrior and 31 assassin).

Figured I'd swing by the forums- say hello, and introduce myself haha.

I'm Selphatos and if any higher levels are looking to mentor, I would be open to it. This game seems like it actually has potential to be pretty fun endgame- which I hadn't thought possible for a minecraft based MMO, honestly- but I am enjoying myself a lot!

Back to the grind for me...

Welcome to Wynn, Selphatos! I'm glad you're enjoying yourself so far!

By the way, grinding is quicker for levelling than quests, but quests tend to be a lot more fun and interesting, so it's recommended to do all of them on your first playthrough. Also, professions aren't necessary at any point, and just end up being really grindy, so you don't have to them unless you want to.

    Have fun!

Welcome to Wynncraft, adventurer! I hope you keep enjoying your time here!
If you ever need help or advice with anything, feel free to ask; the community is pleasant and we'll try our best to help.

As ditsario said, quests are highly recommended for your first playthrough and help with leveling.

    Have a nice day/night!

Speaking of professions- at endgame- does crafted gear ever compete w/ drops?

It does, but the grind to them will make your playthrough like 3-6 times longer (with 1 profession)

    (welcome later)

Welcome to wynncraft! as many people have said grinding is good and a quick way of getting xp but doing quests also gives you xp as well as money, items story and content! so yeah do quests and have fun!

If I'm honest- endgame is my goal. I can make a character to see the full quest content at a slower pace, but I'd like to get to cap and play with builds and slowly work up crafting and maybe try PvP since thats what I enjoy most in games.

So if anyone wants to share with me/show me some choice grinding spots or tricks- I am open to that hahaha

Few warnings for you my friend:

Well, yes, you will be im endgame. Woth almost no experience or knowledgde.

Long, mindless grind. Really long, trust me.

The game was never designed around pvp, meaning it is usually possible to one-shot you opponent.

Ah, yes, well I know I would be endgame with limited in game technical knowledge or 'experience'- hence I was open to something of a teacher to give me the bullet points. I've done more research on this game than I'd thought I would- and I understand a lot of the ideas/concepts, for the most part.

And PvP 1-shots eh? Soooo its like most other professionally studio produced PvP games these days. cool, it'll fit right in lol.

    Welcome to the Wynncraft!

I would recommend you do all quests on your first playthrough first. Although grinding may be faster to leveling up, quests allows you to experience the game more.

    Have a nice day!

Thanks for all the feedback and responses, everyone haha.

    So what I've gathered is:
Questing is good but grinding is faster- so just grind and avoid doing the quests while you do all the quests.
endgame, crafting your own pieces can be very rewarding and powerful- avoid doing any professions at all costs.

If you want to play the game properly, do quests and avoid grinding. If you want it fast grind.

If you do not like grind. Normal items are completely ok and do not have durability.

    Exactly

Question regarding Crafting though.. I've looked at some of the endgame items, and there are some with specific, special effects (nighthawk comes to mind). Is there any way to replicate such effects on crafted gear? Or would those specific, special bonuses not make those pieces flat out stronger/better?
