Rare Mob Spawn Rate

So I recently was farming nii guardians. I happened to have 6 spawn in about the span of 10 mins, and then nothing for another 15. So I just wonder what is the spawn rate of these guardians, and if there is anyway to maximize them.

Well I'm not sure it's known, but according to this wiki page,

Near a tree outside Lexdale [-677 -5440]. 1-3 Nii Guardians.(This location is confirmed, and the spawn rate is pretty high, so it is recommended to farm here, if you don't know a better location.)

A hole outside Lexdale [-590 -5380].(Close to the location listed above, going between both of them is a good idea.)

There's no way to accelerate the spawn rate. Some tips:
If you have free time: Kill mobs around the area and unload and reload the chunk frequently
If you have better things to do: Sit in a tree and check back once in a while, /classing for 10 seconds when there are too many mobs around
