Can anybody explain when they added the hundreds of Items into the game?

Like, half of them don't even get used by players, and to me, it sounds like Mythics and Major IDs are basically the only Items which people in late-game bother to use, anyways.

If the main reason balancing is so hard is because there's so many Items, can't we just...I don't know, remove insignificant Items from the game? If they're insignificant, I can hardly see people complaining about them being removed unless they're die-hard fans of the 'Rare' and 'Unique' Items.

The reason Wynncraft should be complex as an RPG shouldn't be because there's hundreds of Items, in my opinion - that just makes it so that only a few dozen of these Items are legitimately good, creative Items.

That said, we are going to be seeing some sort of improvement to the Items system eventually, right?

To actually answer your question, no. People use rares, legendarys, and often uniques in builds all the time. It is not just mythics.

While for weapons this is true, (which is getting fixed soon), and for low level no one really uses uniques, in endgame there’s quite a lot of unique items used. Things like brainwash, aquamarine, courier’s cape, and a lot of other items are rare or lower and used a lot in builds. One of the most broken items right now is a pair of rare boots.

 

I understand what you mean, however, a lot of people actually use unique/rare items in meta-endgame builds ^^ Even the niche, subpar uniques/rares get used, early, mid, and late game.

Wynncraft's item system is actually pretty beautifully well made! A VERY VERY small amount of endgame players have mythics- they're very rare and most players never even touch one. There are AMAZING unique items, and bad legendary items. Wynncraft's items are always changing, with new IDs being added, the introduction of major IDs, item reworks and rebalances. It's pretty cool!

I don’t much about items, but there’s a whole team of people dedicated to making balanced items, and there are many different playstyles that items can be used for.
It looks to me that every item has its use, even if it doesn’t seem like it does, and that’s pretty awesome :)

for real though, over 90% of items have uses that can really enable a build to work the way you want it. the item variety is what allows so many cool and unique builds.
a lot of items are used more than others, but that doesn't mean others aren't used.

 

Yeah, I want to, but with the...virus stuff, my family has things somewhat set up so that one of them can use the computer basically from 8AM-5PM.

Also, occasionally, my computer decides to freeze up when I'm playing Minecraft. And given that Mobs are actually able to kill you, given a bit of time...You can guess what happens.

it's fine if you don't have as much time as other people to play the game. but please stop making obviously ridiculous claims about the game like low-rarity items being redundant when you have neither evidence nor personal experience to back it up.

afaik balancing is thrown out of proportion mainly due to game mechanics that the item team has no control over (such as vanish's interaction with heavy melee, or the original explosive impact major id in hero beta). as has been said already, low-rarity weapons are hurt by their overwhelmingly poor baselines, but armors are fine and generally compete (or at least keep up) with their legendary/mythic counterparts.

It's a pretty chill place where you can set up builds for every item in the game. If you go to the "Builds" section under Wynncraft you can see people using it. And not every build is the same. Yes everyone's goal is mythics. Mythics are like 8-20 stacks of LE which can set you pretty for a while. But often mythics are powerful. But yeah there are legendary, uniques and rares that pack a punch.

More Items = More builds = More Playstyles = More fun = More watching CT cry as they balance stuff. love you guys

not the best in building, though i know dart frog's skin is also a big poison build component
