Greetings!

I just started playing Wynncraft after getting tired of playing FTB Rev and SF4 and I'm loving it so far! As someone who likes mmorpgs and roleplaying I decided that it's better to experience it that way as well.

I'm planning on building my current character to be a mastersmith (through profession) who is also a contracted assassin; i'm thinking along the lines of odd jobs like gathering materials, dungeon escorts etc..

I'd appreciate any tips you have especially for professions because I don't really understand what all the recipes and materials are, where to find them and what they're all used for. Also, if you ever see me running around, don't hesitate to say hi, I would love to chat and make friends!

If you want to do professions, I suppose you could try joining the profession tryhard group or asking in crafting recipes for help, but honestly, it's almost always not recommended to do them on your first playthrough anyways just because they take so long. But, if you want to do them, I don't want to stop you.

Professions generally aren’t recommended for your first playthrough, because they get incredibly grindy, but there’s nothing wrong with doing them now if you’re enjoying them! :)
basically, you use the materials you get from gathering profs (woodcutting, fishing, mining, and farming) and take those to crafting station for whatever you want to craft.
There are stations for armoring for chestplates and helmets, alchemy for potions, etc.
you press on the materials in your inventory and click enough to fill the recipe, which can be seen by hovering over the checkmark.
Ingredients add ids to your crafteds, like mana regen, poison, etc.

Welcome to Wynncraft, if you do like grinding somewhat for crafting it might be worth it for ya though it might depend on the profession of course.

If you're after a list of ingredients or basically any item in Wynncraft, I would recommend using Wynndata as it also has a crafter but it is in beta somehow Idk.

Thanks for the warm welcomes guys! I'll definitely keep everything in mind. I still might go ahead with the professions thing since I love that kind of grind and I somehow find leveling somewhat easier (by easier I mean faster than other mmorpgs). Wish everyone a Happy new year aswell! :)
