Strength And Damage

So I know that strength increases melee neutral damage, but does it also increase melee elemental damage?

 

strength is an additive increase to your weapon's base damage, both neutral and elemental. As you can see, it affects both melee and spell



However, it DOES NOT scale with any bonuses like raw melee, raw spell, melee%, spell%, elemental damage%, etc. That's why it's an awful investment in 99.99999% of cases.
There's also a niche use for it because it boosts poison

what about critical hits? Does it double your weapon Damage only, or does it double your total damage including those bonuses?

 

dex is also additive, which is why both are not recommended.

 

lol what so what’s even the point, are equipment skill requirements the only reason to invest in them?

 

Yeah. Typically, dex and str weapons have higher base dmgs as well as more often have damage boosting IDs tho
