SPOILER New Wynncraft Raids~!!!!!!!

No way, I can't wait to experience seeing all the fun mechanics of the new raids and have fun learning how to do them? Oh wait, they're just explained to you when you enter? Wait, but isn't a big part of raids learning how to do them and going through trial and error? No? Damn, now I don't want to come back to wynncraft, not worth making an alt, 0/10

bro, we aren’t playing a game like Destiny or SWTOR in which the target audience are teens and adults

We’re playing an MMO built on top of Minecraft, a game tailored for all ages and probably has players as young as seven or even younger

once you understand this, you understand why raids have to be made the way they are so that it’s inclusive to everyone

 

It's not really a matter of age, some people aren't as good at puzzle solving than others.

 

that's a lame and stupid excuse. they're just underestimating the intelligence of their players, even if they're little kids. there are plenty of kids who play difficult mmo games btw, and get by just fine. it was just a poor design decision to explain the entire raid at the get go

 

You mentioning that some kids can play difficult MMO games doesn't make your point any stronger.

 

This is true, however, I assume a lot of the design philosophy is done with the idea that people are young, which then lends itself nicely to people who aren’t good at puzzles.

How is it lame? It’s the design philosophy that a lot of games use in order to prevent players from getting stuck not knowing what to do. It’s used in a lot of games, Minecraft included. There’s a reason they added the Recipe Book to the game, because previously. if you didn’t know a crafting recipe, you’d have to find it online instead of simply opening the recipe tab, clicking something, and it showing you how to craft it.

And yes, there are kids ho play difficult MMOs. When I was 9 or 10 I was playing through Destiny and was decently good at it, however, that doesn’t mean every child is going to understand it or have an attention span long enough to try and learn.

I think Wynn has an average player age of 12-13 so they should be fine.

 

People tend to forget this since I bet the average forum user is probably a little older then that, but yeah the average demo for Wynn is fairly young for sure.

 

To be fair if Wynncraft could depict visual stuff properly, this game would easily hit a high age rating

I mean, one thing is underestimating the player's intelligence and another thing is telling them they are dumb for getting the answer wrong when you never explained the game in the first place

 

Hey guys this is all really great, I am so proud of this community for coming together to have this friendly debate in this forum thread about raids on the subject of Wynncraft target age demographic. This is really really cool.

Wynncraft raids are team-based dungeons with a swaggin' boss at the end that is hard, and gives swaggin' rewards. Any age of gamer can experience this because any age of gamer that is able to get to the level to unlock them have the cognizant abilities unlocked that allow you to hit mobs and move your player character.

Please remember that some of your fellow gamers have only recently unlocked the braincell points to attribute to button clicking and eye moving, so Wynncraft game designers have to account for this in order to appeal to a wider variety of gaming people.

And i would agree with the average age thing, however most of the encounters to these look like they COULD be figured out by a 12-14 year old player with at least some dedication, right now they just look like dungeons with extra steps

 

But why add in challenging content, new rank means more money for wynncraft right gamers????

There’s a shit ton of challenging content, and the raids are just going to add onto that

 

challenging content in Wynn craft, where?
and last big puzzle they had with ??? they weren't given how to do each step, the community had to figure out each part on their own which was what made it fun. This just seems like the complete opposite, for those who enjoy figuring out puzzles and challenges on their own
