My Idol, which was previously 5 -6 stacks is now worth 45.... Stacks of le or so?

Me, hasn't been on in 2 weeks. Me now:

 

people complaining about how it'll be a slap in the face if theres a rollback are so selfish... an additional dxp weekend can be given to compensate and refunds for anything bought within the rollback time frame are likely the top priority, but it upsets me how so many people would just rather have the economy fall so they can keep their progress. this is important for everyone, not just you

 

Tbh I just want to keep my level and quests progression for the last week and that's all

 

This is actually entirely unimportant to basically everyone who doesn't use the trademarket, which is a surprisingly large number of players.

Plus, you should read what I wrote about the economy of Wynn above, but you don't understand this economy if you think it's going to be like this forever, but to sum it up, supply and demand hasn't changed so prices won't either, inflation can't exist in the same way it does in reality where the cost of inputs are fixed.

 

i fully support this, please roll it back. this is the last thing new players needed

Is there a reason things haven't been changed to at least try to temporally patch the problem if no permanent fix can be made yet? It seems like this would be a top priority thing given how much it could ruin a big part of the game.

 

I and many others grinded a hell of a lot during prof dxp, but we need a rollback as long those who spent their bombs get their bombs back (if the rollback didnt happen)

The market becoming obsolete would be terrible.

There's always going to be a supply and demand for items, markets can't just become obsolite because there's more money in the market, that's just not how markets work.

If people here were smart, they would be lootrunning right now. Prices are high so by doing so, prices will fall (since there's more supply and price competition) and since you can easily undercut the market to make sales, now is the best time to be getting rich legitimately.

 

Except the LE that someone pays you might be duped and get deleted...

I wouldn’t sell anything rn since the money you get for it legitimately might disappear without compensation

I was thinking of selling my perfect ws delirium or my hero rn so I could get very high raw, but then I realized if I get payed in duped emeralds I might lose both my items and my money. I personally would just gather good items, since items will still be worth things, even if LE isn’t.

 

I just heard that the Trade Market uses a separate API, so wouldnt that mean that only the TM could be rolled back and everything else like XP gained would stay?

 

What I meant is that the market is basically shit, yes technically there will be a market but the market is suffering.

Also, how does prices fall to a manageable amount when there is thousands of stacks of le into the market atm

Or they feel like they would have to grind for several days again, which is not really fun and entertaining. I grinded for 2 afternoon to get ~8 mining and 5 armouring levels (both to lv.100) and I do not want to do it again for the forseeable future. I could do many interesting things instead but no, I decided to do them as long as the pain is lesser. Yet it was pain. Now I would have to do it again IF I would even decide to do it. 2 another afternoons of boredom.

Do you think many people would want to do it? You can't give them their time back, you just can't. These are as legitimate reasons as we have for the rollback. And for me I have seen the "for greater good" phrase too mamy times. So please do not insult them.

 

That's right, Art. XP doesn't need to be touched in order to rollback the economy.

 

Because the amount of LE on the market isn't what determines prices. If you're looking for an example, inflation has been insanely bad in Wynn for a long time now and somehow the prices of mythics still crashed. You can't sell items if nobody can buy them, so market prices are only determined by what people can pay. Most people didn't abuse this exploit, so the amount of money most of the buyers on the market have hasn't changed. If you want to sell an item for a ton, go ahead and try, but if nobody has the money and willingness to pay for it you can't sell it. This is the part of all this people are missing, just because the list price of an item is high, doesn't mean the cost of that item has gone up, it just means the holder of the item is trying to protect themselves because we're in a time of extreme price volatility.

We're still at a point where the markets haven't settled, so trying to speculate about the damage to the markets by basing it on panic prices is not only misleading but also just plain wrong. Unless you can show me items listed at 20X their regular price selling consistently there's no reason to assume any damage has actually been done at all.

Again, I think this needs to be repeated since people clearly aren't capable of understanding what I wrote before, in an economy entirely based on creating wealth out of thin air, creating wealth out of thin air isn't going to actually do anything.

You can't just roll back the market, people have moved the LE to their player inventory and to their banks. Rolling back the market just duplicates sold items and does nothing else, so it makes the problem worse without doing anything to solve it.

 

The server needs a ROLLBACK I support that.

We didn't lootrun for hundred of hours just to lose all of that in a blink please CONSIDER THAT.
