Hey, Why Wasn't There A Rollback? ( Massive Dupe Issue Discussion )

Id rather loose the progress ive made (getting from 90-100 in profs along with getting to 106 on my shaman), and have the economy be fixed than having to have, like, all of the le to buy some items. I also think that new players would like to be able to purchase items off the tm without having to have a lot of le

 

Yet another scar among the hundreds. This dupe appears to have been the worst one of all. What other surprises await us in 2020? What if 2021 is worse? I've always had the opinion that the downfall of the economy started with Mythics, and I'm still sticking to it.

 

During this period I have found a mythic, I want to mention that because of this dupe, every other single mythic I've found loses all value. Trading one mythic's value for the value of 31? Seems like a good deal.

 

How long ago would they need to rollback to?

 

For the greater good, that’s a sacrifice I am certain many players would be willing to make, in order to not end up with a hyperinflated economy that will wreck prices for a very, very long time.

A vast majority of the DXP period, that's for sure. The dupe happened on day 1 or 2 of it.

 

Was it people coming on and duping deliberately or was the bug in tm really obvious?

 

really obvious, so it was easy to find out independently and then abuse at an insane rate

 

damn well follow up, does anyone know if its possible to rollback inventories and not XP/levels?

Mythics had nothing to do with it. If Mythics didn't exist, Legendaries would replace Mythics in the current scheme of things. Rares would replace Legendaries, Uniques would either replace Rares or stay as they are. Everyone would just be fighting over Legendaries instead of Mythics. The only difference is the name.

 

Everyone who is against the rollback is completely selfish or hardly cares about the economy and overall game.

 

Drop rates and the importance of good rolls on IDs. Don't kid yourself.

 

This is something only administration would know, and even then likely only owners. Wish I had an answer for ya.

 

yeah i figured, i just wasnt sure if anyone knew. if its possible, its the only viable route in my opinion. leaving the duped LE would ruin the economy, sure, but destroying players progress after a dxp weekend would definitely turn a lot of people off from the game. (also the whole thing about refunding bombs and other purchases)

 

Quite a strong hill to die upon, sure it is not an economical stance when it comes to being against the rollback, but to claim it to be completely selfish and uncaring of the overall game, is a bit of a stretch. I will not stand here claiming that the server would not be better off with a rollback, where I stand is on the side of sucking it up and accepting whatever outcome the Administration decide. However, there are people who spent some of their only structured leisure time on the server, spent that in as best a way they can to level up and what have you, only to return to work with the prospect of a rollback coming to their doorstep and removing all the work they put into it. Not everyone is able to take another week of the double xp, assuming that is offered. It just sucks, it really does, and it is worse when people who disagree with another opinion, decide to 'go for the throat' as it were.

 

Not calling to hate on anyone who doesn't support rollback just stating that you can't possibly care about the game if losing a few or more hours is a big deal for you
