New To Wynn, Old To Mc

Hi folks.

I've been playing MC for years now, both on vanilla and modded servers. Just recently came across this server while trying to find a modded server with more of an RPG feel to it. I'm glad I gave it a shot as this fits the bill perfectly for me. Looking forward to meeting y'all out there.

Welcome to the server and forums, I hope you enjoy the game, be sure to look around Wynncraft as quite often the server wackos like to leave little easter eggs throughout the place. Even if you don't find anything, it's at least some xp and the occasional loot chest.

 

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody. I'm liking the bits of story and lore that I've caught so far. I tend to get distracted and go off on a tangent or chasing one mob then off to another then "oh lemme climb this"... "wait, where am I? What was i doing? Oh, look, a loot chest"

The only thing I'm wondering: is there an official tracker for "trade market down"? I'm not complaining, as the coding even with the occasional bug is still downright impressive.

 

Exploring is the fun of it! Wynncraft is beautiful, and you never know what you might find!

Well in my experience, the tm has only gone down twice, and in that experience the first time someone made a thread tracking it, and the second there was announcement through shouts in-game.

With the beta going on and all those fixes and patches idk how long it’ll take to go back up but I’m sure they’re doing their best and going as fast as they can :)

right now, the only way to really check is when you’re in a city to see if the trade markets back up, or watch if someone throws a shout asking/mentioning its state.

Oh if the trade market has only gone down twice recently and its these last two days, it makes sense the way you explained it. I never thought about it being related to the beta. Being that I started two days ago, I had the impression it was down pretty often. I'm glad that isn't the case but I'm sure I could deal with it even if it was.

Welcome, and allow me to offer a piece of advice I think all new players should know -

Don't try to rush leveling. Take your time, do the quests, and enjoy the game. Some endgame players like to rush leveling because they're done everything before but for your first playthrough, take all the time you need to experience everything as best you can.
