Greetings all! Just got into this server a few weeks ago after hearing it being mentioned in passing in one of Technoblade's livestreams, and I really enjoy sinking a few hours into it here and there in the early hours of the morning when I can really get comfortable. Just decided to make a forum account a few minutes ago (why not, right?) and I think I'll be staying for a little while. See ya'll later!

I hope you like the game! I would highly recommend doing all quests and exploring a lot, it is not about the endgame, but about the journey there.

Hello and welcome, adventurer! I'm glad you like the game so far, we're always happy to have new players.
It's generally recommended to not do professions until you've gotten to level 100 or so, since they're so grindy that they mess with the rest of progression and they're not at all necessary.
If you ever get stuck, you can check the newcomer's guide, or just ask someone for help in game or here on the forums.

Welcome, welcome! I hope you continue to enjoy your time here! As TrapinchO said, try to do all quests! They’re the main content of the game and are almost always really fun and interesting. And as ditsario said, we don’t recommend doing professions (like woodcutting and fishing) until level 100+.
If you ever have questions or need help with something, don’t hesitate to ask! There is no shame in doing so.

I think the lore's pretty standard for a fantasy MMO, but I'm still a little shocked that all of this can be done in Minecraft, including the top-down cinematic scenes and boss fights. I am curious if there's ever gonna be a resolution to the whole corruption thing. Also I've been mostly doing quests so far, there's something very chill about working through them and leveling up while taking in the atmosphere of the world and all it's set pieces c:

And yea as Ellphant said I was referring to the November 16th stream. Love keeping up with DreamSMP content, been keeping me occupied throughout the pandemic. Techno's my favorite character, not at all because I identify with him ideologically or anything.
