Is Crafting Worth It

I'm new and i seem to get a lot better loot from mob drops rather than crafting, if so, what ingredients do you recommend early game

 

No.
Crafting is not worth it until late game.
It is in no way required.

Yes. There is no true "end" to wynncraft, so none of the quests are required. Regular quests are good to do for a first class, but gathering posts aren't as good. Sometimes I will do the combat posts, but not often.

 

k and as archer, what skill point ratio is best(a balanced archer)

I wouldn't but if you can get through the grind and wait, it possibly is worth it. One thing that is great that only comes from crafting are stuff like loot quality armor, food, scrolls, and potions that you would normal in Wynncraft not have. To me, the professions that don't seem like they are worth while would be woodworking, armoring, weaponsmithing, and to a lesser extent, jeweling and tailor, both of which can be used to get loot quality armor. Also waiting for a TrapinchO rant on this soon.

 

If it's your first time through Wynn, I highly suggest running through it normally without crafting. You'll already be grinding mobs a lot for xp and crafting is a completely different story in terms of time you'll be spending grinding. It's definitely worth waiting to do after you've gotten a least 1 or 2 classes through and can experience the gameplay normally without constantly being pressed to find good ingredients instead
