SPOILER Weath Bug Still Not Fixed (yay!)

So as you all know, the hero beta is out now. The first thing I wanted to test was to see if the Weathered bug still worked, and lo and behold; it does.

(If you’re out of the loop, weathered is bugged in a way where if you cast a spell while vanished it doesn’t drain any mana.)

It's ridiculous that you can build nearly no mana and have constant spellspam, even if it means rotating in and out of vanish. It lets you build hunted weath with no mana for pvp kills. It lets you even build normal spellsteal/spellspam weath, but you just use less mana for no reason. Free vanish ticks already save you enough mana.

I can't believe this hasn't been addressed still, after nearly a year.

EDIT: Weathered users really be calling unintentionally free spells letting them make otherwise unusable builds a "unique feature"

 

I think that weathered is better with the bug. It makes weathered a lot more unique to work with compared to other mythic daggers.

Yeah but even in PVP, weathered is still outclassed by toxo generally.
It also gives weathered a reason for people to use it over other mythic daggers, it has vanish's ability to make spells cost nothing. It might be better if they gave it -mana or something, but it isn't that bad right now.

 

Weathered already has plenty of reasons to use it without the bugged free spells...i.e. vanish doesn't tick for any mana. The bug is just more reason to NOT use other mythic daggers.

You're also comparing weath as not quite as good as toxo, which everyone knows is completely busted in pvp because poison is op without defense reduction.

 

Weathered without the bug doesn't actually have too much use. Its spin dmg is far less than many other mythic daggers, really it is only viable for lootrunning after the bug is removed.
And if they're gonna make weathered less pvp viable then, they should also make toxo less pvp viable, if they take away the weathered bug, it is an indirect buff to toxo by nerfing one of its biggest counters. Until they nerf toxo, weathered should probably keep its bug

 

Weathered has about the same base damage as grim and nulli iirc

Also, even without the bug weathered is still gonna be great for combat; thats how good the id is.

 

There's no reason for spells in general to cast before leaving Vanish - when a spell is cast while in Vanish, just leave Vanish first before initiating the spell. The only reason for the current ordering was because of how Vanish's damage boost used to work (i.e. the reason why no one ever used it even when it had 80% dmg boost).

Grimtrap has about 5% more base damage, and Nulli has either more or less by a few percent depending on powders.

 

just give ArchangeL 1500 more air or raw dmg, this way weathered is now balanced by having ArchangeL be the better option for damage...

I’m pretty sure air build have been doing worse damage than most water build for a while now..
