My pfp (or the idea of being Plague doctor) predates both my knowledge of SCP (which started with 049, guess how) and COVID.
I must say it was not unpleasant suprise to discover it thought

Series 1 scps are overrated IMO because they're just honorary members, but I see why people like them.
Personally I really like 1230 and 2662 because they're pretty much the only ones that don't want to kill you

 

SCP-2662 is great, especially the logs.

The most known ones (like 049, 055, 085, 076, 076, 682 and others) from series I are in my opinion great. Series I are the oldest, so it can be expected to be worse than the others.

But true, ones like 2000, **|*****|**|*, 3301 or 4001 and many, many others are also amazing.

 

I'm pretty sure gathering is more profitable than lootrunning, actually. But personally I find boredom to be the biggest barrier to gathering, whereas I actually think lootrunning is entertaining.

 

To each their one I guess
If you find gathering entertaining you're a maniac though, I just watch youtube or something where in lootrunning I'm limited to podcasts as I have to keep full attention to the screen

 

Still, I think that before you can make money out of it (by either selling to players or IB) it takes longer than for a lootrunner.

Lootrunning is better money/time
