Getting to the point, I recently finnaly decided to try out wynntils and it's even more useful than I thought it would be, but there are some things that I really don't like about it and I can't just toggle them off, does anyone know some good alternatives? (Only the ones that aren't banned please)
    Thx in advance

    Btw what are these features?

Iirc WynnInventoryManagement2 and WymnForge are somewhat up-to-date

    DO NOT USE FOLLOWING MODS:
WynnEnhanced - potentialy dangerous, steals your data for 3rd party
    WynnExpansion - outdated, bannable features

Well, it's kinda hard to get into with all of the new features that you can toggle on and off, but the thing that concerns me the most is the way that it heavily changes some of the vanilla features (yes, this is nitpicky, but let me explain).
I hate it when mods go out of their way to change stuff that was already good how it was, for example, changing the menu screen or the in-game config file menu.
Wynntils changes the config file thingy, adds a button to the menu, when you are on the server it changes Minecraft's tab's logo and name.
To use it you also have to play on forge, instead of it being a client of its own, like with optifine
Idk, it's just the small things, what I really like is how after installation instead of creating files on the .minecraft config folder it creates its own, making backups of the data very easy.
(tell me if anything I said wasn't clear enough)

also, ty for the suggestions and for telling me what mods not to use, I had forgotten which one stole your data

Like the button on the main menu for quick join? Toggleable

From my experience I have to say it is much better for using and navigation, but if you don't like it I understand it is bit of a pain.

    Toggleable

Like any mod you would use does. There really aren't better options for Wynn in this case

Almost anything is toggleable, you just have to either look carefully or ask someone. If you don't like something you can suggest it on Wynntils discord to change it.

Well my bad then, I probably just subsconciously missjudged it bc when I started playing I found a bug right away, but is there anything you can do about all of the new controls other than just clicking on "esc" to set them to none?

the bug was that every time I took a item out of my inventory and put it back there the "id percentage" would change btw, it was probably bc it was the newest version, but it also was the recommended one

Wynntils discord or me in conversations. (preferably the first one)

Either the latest stable or the latest cutting edge. I play on the latter and I must say it is stable enough.

my bad, I don't use discord, do you want me to dm you then?

The only one I can find on both forge and the site seems to be the latest cutting edge, idk where I can find a stable one

There is a good chance I will have to redirect you though.

sry for the wait, I have everything ready now, but when I go to the core setting it just asks me what update stream I should be on, it is set to stable.
When I check for updates nothing pops up, so is this the newest stable version?

Forge is just about the only modding platform for 1.12. If you want a specific instance for wynncraft you can use multimc. I use it because i can immediately load up a specific set of mods and resource packs for servers. Otherwise optifine is pretty much the only mod that does this.

ty for the tip, but it's still sad that on default you have to use forge, it makes minecraft heavier

The best one, not the only one. Fabric is also there and maybe others too

Or you can just create a separate instance. It is a bit harder but possible.

I might have misinterpreted what you said, I have disabled the advanced identifications thingy but the value on the item's ids are still changing, is that what you meant?
