I mean that is litteraly what I meant, it would be strange to just completely redo it, I meant, as you said 'modernising' it with features found in today's quests like Dr Zed said before with the cutscenes etc

 

I don't really see why you're all comparing Ultimate weapon to TOL in the first place. One of them is a tedious, boring, grindy quest with a weak payoff and the other is Ultimate weapon, the best quest in all of Wynn (or Gavel if you want to get technical...). A better comparison for TOL would be something like TOA since they're both "T" something of something, they're technically supposed to span over the course of a wide level range and they're both an equal pain in the ass with trash tier rewards (Champion armor is cool once for the collection I guess).

Aren't you comparing it to another quest? "wide level range"

 

I consider the level range to be wide since you need to beat a bunch of level 5-30 quests before you can complete it, or start it I guess.

I still don’t understand how that section was so hard. I struggled with it too but Selvut said he did it in normal gear just fine at that level.

 

I wasn't able to click the summoner multiple times when I was supposed to. Idk if it works that way or it was something wrong with it though.

Also Reynolds? health seems so low, especially with mage...

A lot has changed over the years, but to give you an idea, you originally needed a stack of leather, blaze rods, and and another material. Pre-totems, and the only way to get leather was grinding Katoa ranch cows

ToL is the very reason that I now carry at least 4 town scrolls on me at all time - rodoroc for D&D, detlas for trading/slacking around, cinfras for going to detlas or realm of light, and thesead for easy access to CotL. At least it taught me how to move faster.

also, this quest goes by extremely fast if you have the passage unlocked for the creeper area, have a detlas scroll for the nether portal, have done the order of the grook (for easy access from nemract to mage island), and some scroll for getting into the mesa. still, it took me nearly an hour for the collection process.

and comparing CoW to the fetch portion is like comparing the eye to a lvl 1 weak zombie. - the bossfight took me 5 times to solo

 

A quick tip:
Buy every type of scroll that exists (maybe not dungeon ones), put them into one bank page, buy 32+ Ragni scrolls and carry ~5 of them with you at all times. Saves inventory space and it is mun more effective

 

i have a decent chunk of teleportation scrolls in my bank, but i dont really need that many ragni scrolls if all there is to do in ragni is give away emeralds to level 5s

 

You tp to Ragni -> go to your bank and pick the scroll you want

 

When I did ToL for the first time, I thought it was good, but until I had to go all the way from nether to mage island without scrolls, that was cancer af. I deeply do not appreciate ToL as fetch quests are fine if they are actually worth doing, ToL is definitely not because it has super low rewards and all that. Tbh its only use is the bob's weapon merchant and the boss altar, which usually the boss altar is useless unless you wanna get Stave of the Legends, etc. Really hope they buff ToL rewards.

Selvut is definitely an above-average player, a stark contrast to how we laugh at the Content Team for overestimating the difficulty of everything.

I didn't think it was a problem at all when I did it until I heard hundreds of people complaining about how difficult it was at level so I guess it's just some people getting it and some not?
