Guide Powder Specials Are Additive

I know I literally just made a guide, just wanted to make this one too

Real quick:
Courage and Curse powder specials are additive, basically adding 150% or 210% spell and melee damage (they also affect poison), respectively, to your stats
You can see what your damage would be in wynndata by manually changing the spell and melee% of your build

(Also, Courage's initial hit acts like a fire damage ID boosted melee hit that does not affect raw, thanks @Druser)

 

courage + endurance = +475% dmg then right?

 

Courage: +150% damage
Endurance: up to 200% fire damage

Max % increase on a pure fire weapon: 350%

EDIT:
I see the confusion, no, the initial hit damage 125% fire does not continue boosting your damage, it’s a one-off as soon as you cast, and it goes off of your melee damage.
So theoretically, if talking about a single fire melee hit, yes, though I don’t know if courage spell% boost occurs at the same time as the initial hit

No, that’s only for the initial hit, and it goes off your melee damage (like quake, but only affecting fire damage%)

That's kinda misleading then. And the 125% only affects melee?

 

No, when you activate courage fire particles shoot out. Things hit by these particles will take your melee damage boosted by +125% fire damage. This boost does not continue past the initial particle effect.

 

i thought courage was (your damage)x2.5, or do both of those come to the same thing

 

That’s actually the thing this thread is clearing up
Courage is not a flat damage multiplier, it simply gives you 150% more spell/melee damage, meaning it doesn’t affect raw, among other things (same with curse)
(This also means that if you added curse or courage to something like The Nothing, you’d barely notice a damage increase)

Also what about wind prison? Is it actually +600% air damage?

 

Anything that gives you a strength effect is multiplicative, so yes

Idk about wind prison, but I know for sure it doesn’t affect raw, so it’s prolly additive as well
