SPOILER (theory, Kinda) Why Is No One Talking About This

I apologize if this theory has little to no evidence backing it up, I’m basing this off of one thing we saw in the trailer yesterday...

The trailer yesterday was epic, and I am super excited for 1.20. However, something during the trailer caught my eye, and no one else seems to be talking about it.

A land with a whole lot of giant flowers and a huge monolith in the middle.

I’ve seen a lot of people casually throwing around that it’s The Light Realm, which I didn’t disagree with right off the bat; I mean, what place in Gavel can easily be redone to just have giant flowers? Probably the place that used to have giant mushrooms.

But, after thinking about it for an instant, I realized something that really proves that it is The Light Realm.

Where is the other place in-game we see a giant, white monolith?

And unlike the first, this one has been strictly proven to have to do with the Light.

So, my theory is that these two monoliths are connected. And that means that the giant flower land is indeed The Realm of Light.

Now sure, there are definitely things that make this whole connection thing harder to believe. Why does the Lutho one have green Wynnic on it, and the other just has pink goop? Well, I do suppose there are some green particle spike things around it, but uh... I don’t have an answer for that.

I'm thinking that the one in the trailer is probably (And I'm only guessing on the name) Gaveic runes,

and in case anyone has missed it, The Wynnic runes on the monolith in Lutho say "free"

so with that in mind, my idea is that the monolith is from the light realm,

and that it is the only thing keeping the "Beast" from making its territory larger, and making what happened in Lutho from happening through the province of wynn.

As cool as this theory is, it's probably just Orphion's seal.
Plus, the Lutho monolith is already connected to the dark monolith in Void Valley

 

I think they made the realm of light have a bunch of different biomes, kind of like the silent expanse.

 

Obviously the monolith is a hint at a super advanced civilization that turns people into giant space babies

I absolutely love the fact that, if this is Orphion's seal, that it's three-dimensional. It softly implies dimensional weirdness, which is when I feel WC is at its best.

 

If the last part is true it could just well be what's 'hurting' Oriphon in the lore from the realm of light quest. I'd imagine holding back something like the corruption or whatever is spewing from the portal to dern must be pretty intense.

Remember the old Gavel trailer, where it showed off the light realm for the first time, and everyone was incredibly excited because of it? Instead of giant flowers there were giant mushrooms (I do hope at least some of those remain) and a giant piece of writing on a wall (Orphion's seal). The similarity here does make me think that this may be the remake of it. That said, this behind like the big brother of the Lutho monolith kind of makes sense as well, as does it somehow being related to ???/orange wybel given its unnatural and vaguely futuristic shape.

 

Did you not know? Orange Wybel arrived with the three ??? meteors and has been the sole being to ward off the corruption ever since Orphion had to tuck in for bed. That's why it doesn't like players visiting its lair- imagine finally getting the chance to breathe inbetween fighting off the Dark and then someone comes banging on your door wanting to throw fists. This is the only logical connection between the three.

Hold on, it is strictly implied that Lutho's Monolith is, in fact, the only bit of light inside Road to Dern. It was probably something sent there by Orphion himself so whoever wants to actually defeat the eue OR the beast of dern wouldn't go insane right away.
