Forum Duels!

This is my first time posting in Forum games, so forgive me if this has already been suggested/is not a good idea...


Welcome to Forums Duels!
To start a duel, you want to @ somebody to challenge them, or ask for a new dueler and somebody can respond!

So, what do i do in a duel?
Simple!
each you and your opponent have 250 health.
*warning, this requires math, so if that is not your strong suit, this may not be the game for you*
here are your abilities-

Main attacks

Attack- deals 40 damage (this can be used as many times as you want)

Heal- heal 30 health (This can be used as many times as you want)

Defend- ignore 50 damage of the next attack at you

Skip- skip your turn (can always be used no matter what any ability says)

Special- These can only be used once per game.

Big Damager- deals 70 damage

Stun- deals 40 damage and your opponent can't use items or specials on their next turn.

Taunt- Your opponent has to repeat the same action that they took last turn. If they can't, they skip a turn. You get an extra turn but cannot deal damage on that turn. (credit to @Tsuyako )

Magic- at the beginning of a duel, each opponent selects one of these 5 spells, then that is the only type of spell they can use (it can only be used 2 times)

Agility- lets you use 2 items on your turn with no cost, you get an extra turn, but the second turn does no damage
Poison- deals 50 damage every turn for 5 turns.
Leech- deals 50 damage and you gain 50.
Ice- deals 50 damage and freezes an opponent, making it so they can't use spells or main attacks on their turn
Lightning- hits an opponent for 100 damage, but it supercharges your opponent's next attack, making it deal 50 more damage.
Extreme power- your next attack deals double damage, but you lose your next turn

Weapons-
(you may choose to not play with weapons, i recommend you don't on your first game, as it adds more things you need to keep track of)
You may equip yourself with 1 defensive weapon, and 1 offensive weapon, these have permanent effects on the game
offensive weapons
King of Hearts- you heal 20 hp on your turn
Cluster- your attacks deal 20 more damage
The Watched- your main attack does 10 more damage each time its used in a row.
Warp- you can use your selected spell 1 more time
defensive weapons
shield- prevent 30 damage from all attacks
Alternation Set- you start with +50 health, and you choose a second defensive weapon instead of an offensive weapon
Void Gear- consume- (this works as a ability, you can use it as many times as you want)- consume a ability (can only be the spell you chose, any special, item, or main attack), you may not use a consumed item for the rest of the game, however you gain a permanent 10 damage boost per ability consumed
Ninja Set- you may use your specials an additional time
Sorcerer Set- choose a spell , you may use that spell once during the game (has to be one thats not in your base build)

Item- both of the duelers have 3 items. An item takes one turn to use.

Potion- heals 50 health ( can be used twice)
Corrupted potion- you take 40 damage, but your next attack deals an extra 50. (can be used once)
Strength potion- your next attack deals 30 extra damage. (can be used twice)
Knife - Can be activated or deactivated at any time during your turn with no cost, you can use an attack after activating/deactivating the knife. The knife makes you deal 20 extra damage, but you take 1 damage for every 2 points of damage dealt (rounded down to the nearest 10) (Does not work with leech) ex. i deal 70 damage, 70/2=35, rounded down is 30 damage

Advanced modes
these are modes to alternate the game's playstyle, and can be toggled on/off before playing, you can select multiple
Mode- Base-game
all rules explained above
Mode- spells only
Mode- specials only
Mode- main attacks only
Mode- weapons only
Mode- items only (meant to be toggled with other game modes, impossible by itself)
Mode- speedy mode- attacks deal double damage
Mode- double spells- you may choose 2 spells
Mode- Basic- "attack" does triple damage
Mode- Super weapons- weapon effects are doubled

TURNS
a turn is simple, one person posts what they use, how much health they have remaining, and how much health their opponent will have afterwards.
TIP- REFRESH YOUR PAGE CONSTANTLY WHILE A YOU ARE PLAYING A GAME.

this sounds really cool man tomorrow when u awake from your like 9 hour slumber im guessing we may duel look for me im usually on around 10:00 AM west coast, which is 1:00 PM east

 

@Ankarin challenge you to a duel. You can go first. Also poison seems useless because it does less damage over 3 turns than just doing 40 in one turn. It should be like 10 over 5 turns so it pays off in the long run imo.

Also, mid-game nerf, i am making it so you can only use a spell Twice, because a triple lightning is almost an instant kill
