1.20 Sneak Peek: Fallen Protectors

Oh, this is neat, extra content for void!

Now we just hope for extra sneak peeks of the forever-broken-Bandits-Toll-gate-which-CT-CMD-should-definitely-finally-fix.

I’d like to point out that the symbol seen at the start is very similar to the top left part of that of the Celtic air symbol (also the air symbol from Avatar), Avatar being referenced in the past. As seen here:

That symbol, or ones like it, is also used to represent wind, such as in Super Paper Mario. As seen here:

And, to bring things full circle, here is a typical symbol for wind, as not seen in a game:
So, yeah, Wind Fortress is not far fetched.

In fact, I will go as far as saying that the symbol seen is the symbol for the Wind Fortress itself.

 

Okay, so what I'm getting is that this update will revamp Gavel (update quests and builds) but will focus on the Ahms region with the big new thing being the Wind Fortress dungeon which I expect to be an easier dungeon than eldritch outlook but also be within that level range (following the tradition of dungeons being 9 levels apart, that would make the Wind Fortress level 99).

One more thing though: the teaser says "Fallen Protectors", plural. I'm guessing that the mountain statue is one of them, but who or what are the others? Are there more of those giant golems? Perhaps the lad is a fallen protector? Are they related? Maybe Siegfried counts as a protector? Is he a mountain statue in disguise? Who knows.

Oh and uh...... why are the islands upside down with palm trees growing on the bottom?

OH AND UH...... the music??? Will there be more orchestral music?? Cause the music on this one is good and I would LOVE another wynncraft album

This is great, the Ahmsord region is such an intriguing place that deserves more backstory/lore. Looking forward to seeing what's in this update!

Theory: Wybel vs. Colossus war resulted in the scattered sky islands.

Just a heads up, the music for this trailer was composed by Ravel a little over a century ago :P

 

if you squint really hard in the top right it says guild update

 

I think it just adds to the effect of the islands being fractured as a result of a massive battle, just floating around in the endless void.

 

That once block in that one place in that one part of the video makes me think this is going to be an update of some kind.

idk but I'm pretty sure that's an unimportant piece of information about the update since they have been like that for years now.

So we are finally getting the legendary Wind Fortress and information about the lost parts of the Ahms Region.
What we know about the Wind Fortress: Its a lost building (or even nation) that was in the Ahms Region before a "Beast" (Maybe a guardian) destroyed the Ahms Region and created the flying islands.
We know about the long lost Wind Fortress from the "Morrowind" lore.
I also want to point out that we have an item without lore called "Second Wind". It was added in the last update and could be a hint.

The guardian near Kandon Beda might be a protector of the long lost Wind Fortress and the killed guardian we saw in the Void might also be a protector. The Beast that invaded the Ahms Region is unknown or what I think -> The people of the Wind Fortress destroyed themselfes or lost a war.

Most of this is speculation but ... maybe interesting?

 

I’m surprised that there are so many typos in this thread. I guess a lot of people think “wizard” is spelled “wind”.
