    More than likely the Golems from Gavel...
    A big stretch to think it's anything to do with them, just because it says the word protectors.

    On some slightly unrelated note, the floating islands made me think of the void(obviously) and I happen to remember the lore from the bracelet Follow the Wind. Just a weird guess.
