Is Melle Good?

i just wanna ask yall what is your thought about melle (cancelstack, tierstack etc.)

 

in this world you either crank that soujia boy or it cranks you

Melee attacks are coded as spells, so melee is a social construct and every build is a spell build.

melee is definitely a viable option; it really depends on what you prefer, if you want to compare it to spell builds. It's viable at most levels, although getting to a good melee build changes as you level up. Damage-wise, it's hard to get anything stronger than a melee build, but you'll give up some utility if you remove your ability to cast spells.

 

Melee builds tend to have built-in tankiness and life sustain making them pretty much inherently viable (Especially on warrior, spell warrior is an art for only the finest of fellows), but for me atleast they tend to get old pretty quick.

 

Melee builds are honestly really darn good but they’re rather... plain.

Melle means “strong wolf” (from Meinolf) and “venue”, “meeting place” (from Germanic “madel”). It's also a city in Germany too I guess

 

Yes Heavy Melee Assassin is easily god tier type of build.

 

I am not talking about cancel stack here because I haven't played it and don't really know its principle (can someone explain? I will be grateful)

Pros:
- High damage output because of the high base damage
- Quake is still somewhat useful
- Most ETA gears gives walk speed (which also means fast) but not fast as sanik
- Easy to build, melee attack damage % affects damage

Cons:
- VERY low defense and (kinda) low base health
- Defense pots doesn't help a lot
- Spells are pretty much gone if you use centipede

Pros:
- Assassin goes brrrrrrrrrrrrr
- Most heavy melee gears has good exploding values, Earth weapon too, so that it is easy cc or kill hordes
- Tanky
- DPS including quake damage is INCREDIBLY HIGH.

Cons:
- 0 agility
- Quite slow in terms of movement
- The terror of getting a missed hit is INTENSE, and that is why assassin goes brrrrrrrrrrrrr
- Spells are gone if you use writhing growth
- You have to be really good at sniping if you put this on an archer
- Gives you reason to laugh at dawnbreak for requesting a hell lot of dex and def instead of strength (not sure whether this is a con)

Spoiler: EFA

Pros:
- Assassin goes brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr again because of something called The exploited
- TANKIEST among all types of melee I mention (hive chestplate even have raw HR)
- Actually have spells
- Good walk speed
- Stable damage because 90% of your damage is from IDs

Cons:
- Choices are quite limited because if you don't slap one of your gears with 300+ raw melee then your damage goes down by a lot
- Quake doesn't really do shit here, use curse instead lol

Spoiler: TFA

Pros:
- Tied with EFA, being the most tankiest melee builds
- Second Wind is JUST VERY USEFUL.
- Focused on life steal and it gives quite a lot, also you can use Gaping Cavity here
- You can still use your 3rd spell because -40% 3rd spell cost on hive boots
- Tier stacking for slow-very slow weapons is still okay

Cons:
- Damage is low if you don't get luck (thunder weapons ;-; and crit ;-;)
- Doesn't work well with Apocalypse

Maybe I am wrong so don't only look at my response

 

Basically, -damage% doesn't affect +neutral damage ids. so you end up with this

 

It's kind of boring generally, and doesn't feel as complex or interesting to play as a spell build, but it gets the job done. If you want to beat the game, but you don't like managing spells, it'll work. It just gets kind of old after a while.

 

then you stack 3 more tiers to make it 2k damage per hit and super fast?

Oh but cancelstack won't work in next item update because necrosis gives -neutral damage right

 

Usually you start with something that has over superfast attack speed using +attack speed IDs. I just used depressing stick to show that attack speed is the only thing that really matters
