Spoiler: Information on how ratings were calculated

The quests were all assigned an initial rating of 50. They were then run through Microsoft's TrueSkill algorithm with the winner/loser and updated. A global environment was used.

I don't know how to feel about both Studying the Corrupt and Realm of Light not being here, but at least my boy Eye of the Storm pulled through.

Studying the Corrupt makes Arachnid's Ascent look like a masterpiece but to each their own.

i rated them on the content rather than the reward

i got potion making every other round and always avoided it, whereas i never got hollow sirene

 

I'm a bit surprised to see AHC at the top. Also, clearly rigged, Shattered Minds is the best quest. Honestly though, I'm not very surprised at the top few except maybe AIH2. It's also fun to see how well Wynnexc D has aged. I don't think it's been touched since before Gavel, and it's still in the top ten. Well done content team.

 

Finally, the true what's your favorite quest thread

These are some pretty interesting results:
- Only 5 of the quests in the bottom 15 are from Gavel, and looking at the big graph, people don't hate Gavel nearly as much as some people in the community would suggest.
- All the 1.19 quests seem very well-received, except for the Olmic Rune. I'm surprised that a Journey Beyond made it that high.
- Shocked to see Iron Heart Pt. 2 in the top 15; while I've always liked it, I assumed that others would pass it off as a "level 40-70 Gavel quest".
- 11 of the top 15 quests feature (unskippable) cutscenes.

 

the fact that misadventure is only #5 makes me extremely upset

I've always felt like it's one of the least popular SE quests - the Roots of Corruption segment feels like filler, the light and dark elements feel tacked on, there are tons of unskippable cutscenes, Elphaba and Lucio don't seem like popular characters, and the Aledar Cart feels a bit controversial. On top of all this, it's mandatory for accessing one of the most important areas in the endgame. I expected it to receive a similar score to King's Recruit personally.

 

That's not even mentioning the insane amount of hard locks and glitches in it

 

Well, imo it’s the best quest
I really like Elphaba and Lucio, Aledar is also interesting
Cutscenes are great, but I understand that some people dislike them
RoC part is pretty unique
Light and dark elements...I dont have anything to say, but Im not hating them
Aledarcart isnt that important in quest, people just created meme from it
But Fruman walls are still the best meme

 

To be fair, the actual gameplay of the quest sucks. I'm 100% certain its received so well because of the choice. Its undoubtly the most interesting choice in the game.

Mind you, it's not just the choice, but also the realization that all of the golems you've come across have been... Well.
