I watched the new Mulan today. I originally wasn’t planning on watching it, but my mom and my brother wanted to see it, so I thought, “Eh, why not?”.

I can’t tell you how good it is compared to the original because I’ve only seen the original like once, and I didn’t like it that much. However, the remake just fell...soulless. They got rid of Mushu and the songs, which added so much charm to the movie. In the remake, they tried to go for a more serious tone to make up for it, but it didn’t work out well. I don’t recommend it.
