    "Enough changed that the whole item needed a display. Also, each of these unobtainable items, as well as Rycar's Elation and Remikas' Authority, will be droppable next item patch. You'll find them dropped from dungeons- which is to say, the item rain when you beat one, not from tokens"
    will the drop chances be changed from the item rain?

    Hey everyone,
    Due to recent confusion on exactly what the loot quality curve is, I am going to post each value here to be referred to:

    The first 10% loot quality gives 10% effective loot quality
    The second 10% loot quality gives 7.5% loot quality
    The third 10% loot quality gives 5% loot quality
    The fourth 10% loot quality gives 2.5% loot quality
    For every 5% loot quality past 40%, 0.5% loot quality is given

    As a few examples, 40% loot quality has 25% effective loot quality and 80% loot quality has 29% effective loot quality.

    I feel like the LQ nerf was well deserved. Leaving us in the dark for too long however was a bit excessive (nobody is for the blame - there was simply no communication about it); at least the changes prevent a dramatic Mythic supply increase with demand being too low.

    This is somewhat tied to Quest rewards not being as high, but that's out of IM's scope.

    The mythic market is gonna take a long time to recover and the boot market might never recover....lq needs another nerf

    mythic prices going down and more mythics coming into the market isnt a bad thing

    at least thats what myself and many many other poor people think :)

    Another note on LQ: are you certain it's overpowered? From what I hear the average mythic/chest is about one every 3k (occasionally seen lower numbers, but let's not assume the best gear or worlds), which is only a little below the pre-1.18 average of a mythic about every 3.5k chests. While it may be easy to point fingers to the new flashy id, it's much more likely the recent price drops are a cause of:
    - quarantine & summer break resulting in people having more time
    - the lootrunning discord, and a much larger amount of people lootrunning for longer
    - 1.18's reduced LE rewards from quests, items, Seavale Reef, as well as lack of any other serious money-making methods at the moment finally catching up to the market (or: not just the mythics went down in value, LE also went up independent from mythics)

    And I have to agree, mythics going down in price is generally pretty good for especially new or unlucky players, and mythic owners can usually still do mythic trades. There does still seem to be something strange going on with the amount of boots being found compared to weapons (my bet is on boots having more possible levels than weapons), but I don't particularly mind some being within the price category of those who have just finished their first playthrough.

    I'd argue that the addition of the silent expanse at least partially helped; not only does it have its own loot run, but the addition of EO and CUR were overall boons for endgame player retention, which when combined with the factors you mentioned means that there are just a lot more players loot running

    I actually completely agree with you - reasons you named are some of many (more lootrunning spots (specifically SE), world timers extended to 8hr, and more) that could explain these trends. Mythic rates have definitely increased by a ton though through my experience loot running before and after its addition. Defining this ratio as a server has found many different results, but even 3.5k seems very low on a scale of the 3.5-7k I generally heard of before lq and the 1-3k ive been most commonly hearing after its addition, even if loot quality isn't the only variable involved.

    However, defending the nerf, the addition of an ID that’s mechanic allowed for such a huge increase in mythic chances was just simply too OP. Also, being an ID and related to items, changing LQ was a relatively simple change that we IMs could actually make. Even disconnected from the market situation as a whole, I would probably have still voted for the curve.

    Personally, I am not too mad about price drops either. I just wish that many mythics with bad stats wouldn’t be valued as just worthless, but rather be actively traded at lower prices with demand, even if say a half a stack was a norm for a pair of boots or a low level weapon. As of now there is just no demand for many mythics, and the market is just flooded with sellers who are stuck with them.

    Yes-
    LQ does not diminish on mobs, so for example 80% loot quality is still 80% effective loot quality on mobs, but 29% effective loot quality on chests

    I've always liked the idea of mob farming for mythics, but the problem I see is the advantage to donators. Lootrunning is equally profitable for VIPs, Heros, newbies, and nons alike. It all comes down to what areas you loot, what servers you pick, what build you use, and how much time you invest in lootrunning.

    On the other hand, mob grinding relies on having plenty of mob totems at your disposal from your rank and maybe even your friends' ranks. Even dloot bombs make a big difference. I've seen a lot of ranked people transitioning to mob grinding post LQ nerf, but it just doesn't seem viable as a non ranked player. I think the upcoming changes to the forgery and dungeons for mythic drops is a great change in the right direction, and I think the LQ nerf on chests was definitely needed. But for now it doesn't seem right to lock the best (maybe?) method of mythic hunting behind mob totems and dloot bombs.

    Who's idiotic idea was it to nerf the dura on the large lapis. Just nerf the damage, nerfing the dura makes it one of the worst ingredients in the game.

    Not really, you can still make 60+ spell accessories pretty easily iirc. Although not nerfing dura on ings ever would be preferable
