I remember now, sometimes only a lust for death can bring back memories. Before you do the deed, let me tell you a story. Back in the old days, the gates of Fruma rarely closed. I was an adventurous trader, traveling all over the provinces of Wynn and Fruma. I came from Elkurn originally, the small town near the Corrupted Roots.

Anyway, I was over in Fruma trading a bundle of wool for a weapon I wanted. I completed the trade gaining a rare weapon called The Utilizer. Soon after that, I heard that Fruma’s gates were going to close so I rode back to the gates hoping to reach them before they closed. But when I got there, the gates were already closed. Then I heard the rumors that the gates had closed forever.

Along with several citizens of Wynn, I tried prying the doors, looking for a mechanism, and even cutting the gate with my sword. “Hey, cut that out!” A soldier shouted, riding up to the gate. “When will the gate open next?” Asked a civilian. “Never.” the soldier replied as more soldiers rode up. We could not comprehend that for several minutes. “Why are the gates closed forever? We have to get back to our province.” I pleaded. “The queen wants to keep corruption out and destroy the corruption within. This is your province now.” “Could the gates open long enough for all of us to return to our province?” A woman asked. “No, the queen said corruption could sneak in that way.” Another soldier announced to the crowd.

I considered my options, should I go to the palace, or go elsewhere? Maybe I should go to Tomorrow or Yesterday, the sister cities in Fruma. Then there were also Beginnings and Outskirts, two more towns. I decided to head for the palace. I left the gates on my horse and followed the Center Trail. It branched off soon, with Yesterday on the left and Tomorrow on the right. Fruma seemed rather symmetrical when I thought about it.

After passing those towns I came across several merchant huts. One had a sign saying: “Private Detective, any offer, name a price.” The three other stalls were a potion merchant, an accessory merchant and one I couldn’t quite make out. I halted as I looked around, not sure if I should hire the detective, when he stepped into his stand. “Hello! Do you perchance need a mystery solved?” He called. “Possibly.” I replied, deciding to stay and question the guy. “I’m Aledar.” “Marn, Private Detective.” “Do you know why the queen ordered the gates to close? The real reason, I mean.” I queried. “Come back here.” Marn said, looking about in a nervous manner and then leading me into his house. “I do have an idea.”

He eyed my satchel hopefully and I flicked him a coin along with an annoyed expression. “Thanks, you know this line of work is not easy, I mean last time I had a custom-” “What’s that idea!” I interrupted before he could start an anecdote. “Some say that Fruma is the least respectable province. We may have less crime but,” Marn leaned forward and whispered, “Some say the government is corrupt, figuratively or just maybe, literally.” “How can you prove that?” I queried, slightly intrigued. “People have disappeared. People ending up on the path to Ragni with no previous memories. Wynn questioned Fruma about it, but Fruman soldiers may be lying when they say it could be another form of corruption. I assume the gates of Fruma closed to prevent Wynn from further investigating. But this doesn’t completely prove that Fruma’s government is corrupt. We would need proof. Something that could even spark a revolution.” “Should we go to the palace?” I inquired. “Indeed.”

We left Marn’s house and rode our horses towards the palace where we halted a ways away. “Should we use the front gate?” I asked. “No, the palace’s gates are closed too, except for soldiers, but there is a backway in.” We galloped around the wall of the castle and Marn told me that he once was a servant here, but he left before the queen acted strangely and fired many of her servants. Marn stopped suddenly and got off his horse. He proceeded towards the mountainside where he found a button. After pressing it, he hurried towards me. “Look at the wall.” Marn directed. I turned and seeing a humble entrance, stepped through it.

I found myself in a luscious courtyard with colorful flowers dotted here and there. It included a nice pond rather close to the palace. Marn stepped through the doorway after me, and it shut behind him. “This way, before we’re seen.” said Marn taking the lead. He led me quickly towards a small oakwood door. He slowly turned the knob, the door giving a squeak of protest but opening nonetheless. We entered and took our bearings.

“We need to find a way up. I’m not sure if they’ve remodeled anything in here.” “How many servants are left?” “ Ten servants I think.” We started down the hallway after that, ready to bolt if a servant appeared. The floor was decorated with a grass green carpet while on the wall were beautiful tapestries of Fruma. There were many ornately carved doors trailing up and down the hallway as well. I wondered where they led. After we turned a corner, we saw a dead end ahead.

“Yargles. Where do we go?” I asked. “There’s a stairwell on the right which we should ascend-” We heard loud foot falls ahead of us, found an unlocked door, and entered it. It was a laundry room with several baskets, a laundry chute, and so forth. “Quick! Hide.” Marn said. We both spied the chute and started climbing it.

“This might even lead to the queen’s chambers.” Marn announced after several minutes of arduous climbing. We cautiously emerged from the laundry chute into a closet, though it hardly looked like one. The area was gigantic!

Suddenly we heard footsteps drawing nearer by the door. We looked around desperately for a hiding place. Marn dashed lightly towards a wardrobe while I hid behind a stack of boxes. I peered out and witnessed the queen entering the closet. She may have been dressed in fine scarlet silk, but after her veil was removed, it was obvious that she or rather, it, was not even human. The queen was Corrupted!

Marn gasped. Narrowing her eyes, the queen stepped closer and opened the wardrobe where Marn was located. He wasn’t there. The Corrupted stared for several moments and then searched the other possible hiding places. Soon she spied the boxes. She walked towards my hiding place and I feared the worst. But luck intervened and a knock sounded at the door. “What is it?” spoke the queen. Your meeting with General Erugos is about to start.” “Okay,” The queen replied, pausing before changing course towards the door.

Marn and I waited awhile after she left before emerging shakily from our hiding places. It was an incredibly close call. Our hearts were beating way too fast. With a quick glance at the door and no words spoken between us, we headed back down the laundry chute. Marn suddenly lost his grip and with a cry tumbled to the laundry room floor. Several soldiers came running and found him clutching his ankle in pain. “To the dungeon I say!” Growled a guard. The soldiers carried him off, the poor fellow, which led to my escape.

I had witnessed the spectacle from the shaft so I finished climbing down and sneaked down the hallway to the back door. I opened it quietly and crept out of the castle. “Guards!” Cried a gardener looking at me. I started running but to no avail. I was soon tackled. Struggling to escape, I kicked one soldier away, but was held down by another. “Why are you trespassing?” The guard asked. “And what is your name.?” I’m Aledar-I just wanted to figure out how to return to the Wynn province.” I choked out.

I was promptly drugged. The next thing I remember now was sitting in a dark room with an orb spinning around my head. I was hypnotized by it. I heard a voice that said: “You are Aledar, a civilian of the great province Fruma, who deeply desires to be a soldier of the Wynn province. You are indebted to Fruma. There is no war within Fruma’s walls. There is no war within Fruma’s walls. THERE IS NO WAR WITHIN FRUMA’S WALLS.

I lost all other memories right then because of a serum I think. I was drugged again and woke up in the caravan with you. But the serum or whatever didn’t work that well, for I remember now. If you believe this is true, then this certifies that Fruma’s queen is corrupted. You have to vanquish the threat. The provinces of Wynncraft must survive.

Aledar looks up at you gravely. “ Now take your weapon and kill me to unlock the gate of this, the Eldritch Outlook, an outpost of darkness, and a place of prophecy.” You know what must be done. With a tear shed, you unlock the gate to doom.

This story is based on much of the lore of Fruma and Aledar. Content Creators, feel free to use this story or what this includes in Wynncraft. Personally, I think this is really good. It does include an obvious error. Fruma's gates would have closed before Aledar was born, not during his life. I don't know when I'll publish my next story. I'm not working or planning on writing any Wynncraft stories soon. There is no war within Fruma's walls so have a nice day.

Great except...the fourth wall break. No one's aware of ""Wynncraft" in the game. Overall, good story.

I'm not sure what their "country" is called, seeing as there are multiple provinces. But Aledar probably wants every province, not just Wynn and Fruma, to survive.

Here's a few errors you made:

How exactly does he remember his fruman past when he is confirmed to have lost his memory in prison? I did notice you mentioned that but the fruman memory wiping literally means he has zero memory at all of his past until the dude in the tower of amnesia studies him (and by the way, aledar never has his memory studied therefore his only memories are of his time as a wynn recruit)
The fruman government does not allow people to leave or enter fruma, they only send recruits to help combat the corruption. therefore it is impossible for aledar to have been a trader
You aren't supposed to feel bad about killing Aledar in AJF because he literally says that he had planned to kill you here.

Nonetheless, it's a great story and I can tell you put a lot of effort into it.
