Community Event 50 Player Eldritch Outlook, Take 2 (29.08.2020, 6pm Utc)

From the same people who have brought you the much dreaded 50 Player Eldritch Outlook comes the second run, except now we're somewhat more organized!

Well, kind of.

We're hosting an Eldritch Outlook run with 50 players and no set date (in fact, we don't even know if we'll do it), more specifically we're getting 45+ eye stabbers, cramming them into a single room and watch the servers writhe in agony. Because the last part definitely did happen and we lost all the consumable buffs - we then went *poof* after the crash.

But first, a short introduction. What do you mean with "we"? Well...

This event is hosted by the WynnRaiders Discord, a group of server-busting, eye stabbing, wrench killing, incarnate destroying Wynncraft players who host large events to coordinate massive raids on Wynncraft's bosses. DM me or @Prankster999 to receive an invite to the Discord server, as we can't post invites on forum posts.

We will announce everything else in due time.

UPDATE 26.08.2020: Change of strategy - Crokee's old strategy is not going to work due to The Eye not having any HPR, being stationary, and the only real threat being the Wretches and the lag. I'll post a new strategy soon, but right now the old strategy is deprecated and will result in plenty of deaths.

UPDATE 27.08.2020: It appears that we have the most available players in this weekend than others, particularly at around 6 PM UTC in 29th of August. Is this the final date? Probably. I'll pester the higher-ups of Wynnraiders and let everyone prepare for the raid.

Illustration Legend
- Black Lines = Arena border
- Yellow = The Eye
- Red = Highly likely to have a circular blast (the red blocks on the floor)
- Green Circle = Shaman Healer; Tank Shaman/Skyseer class players with Yol, Sigil of Resistance or Absolution (at least 20-25k HP and/or 1.4k HP/s totems)
- Blue circle = Absolution Healer; Absolution wielding tank Shaman/Skyseer player
- Pink dot = Guardian Tank; Warrior/Knight with over 30-40k HP and absurd HPR
- Orange dot = Mage Healer; Lament/King of Hearts carriers who heal players constantly throughout the fight
- Blue dot = Gazer/Wretch Killer; Must kill Gazers that spawn anywhere on the arena, any class
Not illustrated = Ignis Supports; Archer/Hunter with Ignis. Can be anywhere on the map, but usually should stick around Shaman Healers.
The rest of the people will either assist any of the above or attacks The Eye.

Phase 1

This phase is fairly straightforward. Just stab the eye until it drops to 2.8M HP.
At 3M, two mini-boss mobs will spawn - Cascading Arteries. The left CA will fire singular shots, while the right CA will fire bursts. Defeat them before attacking The Eye!

The Eye will periodically spawn Gazers. Shamans have to use Aura/Uproot to periodically clear the Gazers so others can have some breathing room. Auras only need to do 4-5k damage - any higher than that is overkill for Gazers.

Intermission 1 - Falling Eyes

Everyone hides at the left hand side of the arena, where the falling eyes can't reach (underneath a vein-like structure that protrudes just enough to create a small shelter). Those who can tank it can stand still.

Phase 2

We now have Eye Portals! Hopping into those will put you right in front of The Eye.

The Eye will also begin firing lasers, dealing high damage to glass cannons. If you're a glass cannon, do not stand in the center! Otherwise, same as Phase 2.

Intermission 2

The Wretches at the back (the five eyeballs) will begin fire lasers on their own. Dodge or tank them, up to you.

Phase 3

This is where the proverbial can, and will, hit the fan.

Gazers spawn everywhere, now including the back of the arena, and occasionally a Deathknell Wretch will spawn.

KILL THE WRETCH AT ALL COSTS.

If the Wretch gets through... all players will take 90% of their current health as true damage, which is enough to bring many non-tank players to just enough HP to get one-tapped.

At 1.15M, 850K and 550K, The Eye will push everyone back and attempt to eat (read: vore) everyone standing in its path. Get away from the center when that happens. If you are eaten, keep in mind that you will take a portion of the damage The Eye takes, so every time it happens, healers must focus on healing the players inside The Eye. Guardian Tanks can also get deliberately eaten to protect their allies inside The Eye.

Phase 4

At 400K, The Eye will go berserk, ejecting from its socket and directly attacking the players. Just stab it until it drops dead. Beware, Gazers still spawn!

We now have a time poll! The time frame is the next 3 weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun), although the run can be further away in time depending on player availability. You can find the poll on our Discord server, or by just clicking here.

RAID RULES:

1. Be there on time when the raid begins, give or take an hour to actually get on the server. We will announce the server before the raid starts.
   
2. Follow the instructions from the raid coordinators carefully.
3. Don't spam "VORE VORE VORE" in lobbies. We tried that once and got muted. Was still worth it, but just don't. Nothing says about spamming it on the server where only us can see it - just don't confuse the newbies.
   
4. Bring stat potions/food/scrolls with multiple charges so in the event we crash, we can re-apply the buffs to everyone. Bring only the consumables you can afford to lose.
5. Do not throw Party Bombs (or any bombs, except shouts). We tried that and crashed so hard we actually had to switch servers.
6. Do not bring Archers. The only exception to this rule are the Ignis carriers, as long as they don't cast Arrow Shield.
7. Do not cast spells, except for Totem, Aura, Uproot and Heal. Spells lag the server, especially Ice Snake (and basically any Archer spell).
   
8. Have fun!

We might also pester admins to give us a private, whitelisted instance because last time only 48 of us were able to get in.

"VORE VORE VORE" is basically "we are mad".

 

Don't tempt fate, the worst we'll get will this time be a 1 week ban for "deliberately crashing servers".

You can open a conversation with either me or Prankster999 for an invite link, since we can't just slap a link on the thread due to the rules.

Someone was "killing a rare mob" when we broke WC19, so there's definitely going to be randoms in there. Which is why I wrote "we could probably use a whitelist only instance" for this.

Then again, asking Salted to do that is more or less asking a camel to cross over the Grand Canyon, so we're better off accepting those few randoms and saying "sorry we crashed the server you were doing X activity in, here's your compensation of *insert bribe here*".
