Our story begins in the plains of Astora, a setting sun behind the distant Aurum Peaks casting a shadow over a small cart of Suresian origin, gradually moving towards the city of Port Sur. This cart holds six soon-to-be adventurers, who had all shortly prior arrived at a designated rendezvous point, after being sought out and offered a job. Each was asked to name their price, and the Lord of Port Sur would grant it in exchange for their presence.

The cart has been traveling for several hours now, and is nearing the border of Astora.

Before we fully start, could everyone start with a short character introduction?

 

Heyo! I'm playing Conchobar, the Water Genasi ranger.
Before being an adventurer, he was a human spy.
That came to an abrubt end after a magical incident turned him into a genasi, because you can't really blend in when your skin's blue.

I hope we go to explore the coast and kill the undead there bec ause otherwise I'm useless

 

With metallic gray skin and hair, the warforged introduced himself as Ast, now a simple traveler (I'm specifically a fighter but myeh).
He's a bit stiff, taking things too seriously or looking out for something. Makes sense considering what he used to do. He mentions that he was a guard. For uh. Somewhere. He cant seem to recall. He took the job to travel around, hoping that something would spark his memories along the way.

 

The high elf refuses to speak ffor a few moments, but reluctantly introduces himself as Skylaar, a high elf wizard brought along this path because of his wish to avenge the deaths of his parents.

 

In the corner of the cart sits a wood elf women with black hair that goes a bit below her shoulders and a cloth mask covering the lower half of her face. She introduced her self as Thalia Sylfir and said that she's travelling in search for a bounty on another wood elf.

 

On the side of the cart, there is a sleeping wood elf young adult. He is lankey, tall (6'3) and lean, wearing a patchwork of leather clothes made from several animals with brown hair fitting his brown clothings. Before he took his nap, this chipper wood elf introduced himself as Leo Ragtale and "is looking forward to working with you all."

 

There's a middle-aged armored gnome tinkering with the head of his javelin. He's introduced himself as Riso, and he's mentioned currently traveling around as a "wandering guard" of sorts. Notable details include shoulder-length black hair, a rather unusual helmet (think one of those welding masks, but made for combat and painted to resemble an ancient tribe's mask), and the javelin he's working on, which is now emitting the sound of a moderate breeze.

 

The cart slows to a halt as you reach the border, having been stopped by the imperial guards at an outpost. You overhear a short conversation between the guard and the cart driver (a middle-aged elven man) regarding his business in Suresia. The guard pokes his head into the cart, takes a look at you all, nods, and leaves. The cart begins moving again shortly thereafter.

The driver says back to you all, "A few more hours till we reach Port Sur! Not much further to go from here."

"A small town, I think? It's a bit off the main road though, so unless you'd all like to head that way, we won't come near it."
