Crafting. Worth It?

Is Crafting worth pursuing? Currently Lvl 37 Shaman and noticing that my crafting abilities are really behind my combat lvl. Is it worth pursuing crafting and spending the hours it takes to grind the profession levels to make the weapons/armour to match my current lvl? Or is it easier to get loot drops or purchase from the market?

 

If it’s your first playthrough, then it’s recommended to completely ignore professions, but if you feel like you have completed most of the game and don’t have anything to do then they’re a nice timesink.

 

In my opinion, you should try to upgrade your class’s profession. that way you have something else to do, while you are exploring or grinding. This way, you can craft the classes’s weapon, without having to grind so you can buy it off of the auction.
