What does it mean when an item has × or ×× after an ID?
Does it mean something different if it is after a percentage or if it is after a raw value?

A number of IDs, some with and some without ×s.

My apologies if this question has already been answered elsewhere, I have been unable to find it. If it has, I'd appreciate a link.

To elaborate, every ID has a base value, which is then multiplied by a number between 0.3 and 1.3 when it is identified (this does not happen with skill points). The stars tell you how good the roll is, that is, how close to 1.3 it is.
