SPOILER Favorite Wynncraft Storyline/lore?

Now we have that out of the way, please let me know what your favorite storyline/lore, I am very intrested.
Wynncraft has a lot of story behind it, but I'm curious on which one is your favorite.

Go ahead and do your worst, reveal the deep secrets of Wynncraft's Story and Lore.
I honestly don't care if my whole experience with Wynncraft is ruined by this one post.

There are no rules, just post your favorite storyline/lore.

 

The envoy I and II and Fallen Factory. (corkus main storyline)

 

The WynnExcavation questline is my favorite because it's the most solid, generally well received by players, tried and true quest structure. It takes place as you progress through Wynn so there is variety at the quest sites. Site A is the introduction with a pretty difficult boss, Site B and C are extremely fast quests that still provide insight into the company's story and Site D is the lengthy, detailed finale. Site D in fact feels like the final quest in Wynn (I see SE stuff as more Dern-related). The final boss, while a visible challenge for anyone trying to solo, actually dies and doesn't end up locked behind an annoyingly long dungeon. The only other questlines to truly conclude like this are DnD (a different kind of death) and Journey (where the game at least acknowledges you beat the boss and opens up a new area)

 

Misadventure on the Sea. A nice and simple interactive story that encompasses everything a Wynncraft story should be.

 

The Nesaak and Twain storyline, one of the only actually decently written characters in wynn imo

 

My favorite lores are warp's and grimtrap's, my favorite storyline is definitely bob's lost soul, and reincarnation. Just because the nostalgia when they first came out.

I love Twains lore and The Olm, although I have a bit of a mess in their lore

 

SE questline and all of the lore there is my favorite for now.

WynnExcavation was really good the first time but after that Site D was kinda eh and Amadel was a pushover

The Twains are another good one and have actual good characters.

The Envoy hasn't ever been that special for me but the Antikythera Supercomputer is a good character. The Avos have good lore though.

 

To be honest, I quite like the realm of light quests for the storey and explanation they bring, I know that those are quite controversial, but I think thats because they are under developed though, I wish the whole decay and light storyline will be developed in 1.20, especially since the recent post said developing mid-game stuff.

 

I think An Iron Heart is so special to me because of how dark it is, and how it just wouldn't work as well if it was outside Minecraft. Pretty much everyone who played Wynncraft had played, or still play, the vanilla survival experience and know about the golems. Having it be such a twist in the Wynn lore makes it so great to me. I think it could have a better delivery, or if the quest gets changed at one point in the future it could be cooler in a lot of ways, but as a story, it is amazing. You've encountered so much golems on your adventure and never thought twice about them, and this changes everything.

Anyway, that's enough rambling. I'd say I also like my own quest but that might be too narcissistic

 

except that the story is inspired/taken from outside minecraft, someone from the wynn team confirmed this

they never said what the original is but one possibility I can think of is Cybermen from the british sci-fi series Doctor Who

 

or five night's at freddy's, the concept is basically the same (a guy who kills people and stuffs them in indestructible suits)

anyway, my favourite storyline is either WynnExcavation as i've said a thousand times before, or the whole Bob lore/saga because 1. it's nostalgic as hell (remember when Reincarnation was the last quest?) and 2. it's really interesting and intricate tho the lore is a bit messy

Love the story telling of the quest, though my suspension of disbelief broke when the quest glitched and showed a different soul with a different username talk to me and that was funny. Also the ending and quest having an actual impact on the workd, with that one citizen deciding to finally send her soul in the totem.

 

actually yeah you might be right, but my point is that i love how well it works inside the "minecraft universe"

 

I feel like even though people aren't talking about it as much, the storyline of Memory Paranoia still really holds up.

 

I am going to have to go for the Twains lore. It is just my overall favorite. Though it’s only involved in 2 quests (correct me if I am wrong), it still offers an interesting story as a whole. The Twains themselves are pretty moderate written characters, as they have a sense of mystery to them and make you want to learn more about them. For instance, Theorick’s charisma seemed to be a bit misunderstood by the people of Nesaak, as he was doing what he could in his power to protect them (though he takes his approach to a hostile level sometimes). Overall, good lore. It does provide some “show, don’t tell” in A Grave Mistake which I would like to see more of in the future, as it gives you a better sense of the whole situation instead of telling (telling sometimes doesn’t do justice in most cases because it can leave you looking puzzled and not know what’s going on).
