Theories About ''the Lad''

Recently, we got some teasers for 1.20. We were shown a strange golem called ''The Lad''
Just look at this almighty man. We know little about him, but we are allowed to come up with our own ideas about him...

Location:
This is hard to tell from just one image, but I have a good idea of where he might be. I believe that this guy is in Cinfras County. Why? Just look around him. Huge rocks are everywhere, and spiky trees can be seen around. If you look behind him, you can just barely see a pond with some sugar cane. Plus, the flowers around him are the type seen in Cinfras County. The only amomaly is that the trees that jut into the air like that first start showing up near the start of the Canyon Of The Lost and very few are in Cinfras County. But I would think it's safe to say that you will be seeing this guy chilling with the gerts and bandits in 1.20

Purpose:
Not sure, but if you look closely you can see carpets on him which shows that we will probably climb on him at some point

I'm afraid I have bad news. The lad is not actually what he seems, the Content Team just wants you to think he's your normal, average day lad while in reality this specific, devilish lad has caused numerous deaths, and those are only the bodies we've recovered. You may think you know how it feels to be scared, you may think you've wanted to run away before, but this is on multiple higher levels. You can feel it, can't you? The immense sense of danger radiating from even just an image of it? None of us are safe, and the only option left is to run. You've been warned, it's coming. And it's never going to stop.

It could be a new “guardian of the forest” for a revamped Finding the Light, but that might not be right since it’s in Cinfras county, not in the light forest.

Glad I wasn't the only one thinking that he reminded me of Gaius

 

Wasn't specifically thinking about gaius but just the thought of having scattered colossi across wynn in a shape of boss altars but that come to live in the world sounds incredible, though I doubt the lad is a boss battle

 

Because The Lad appears to have various plant life growing on him, I’m thinking that he could be many thousands of years old, if not tens of thousands

 

They literally called him ancient, so yes.

 

Would be cool if it was associated with a secret discovery

 

dont think we will see gavel secret discoveries until 1.21
i think 1.20 will just add troms jungle secret discoveries

 

my theory: Lad is in Llevigar plains/Per-Light Forest and there will be secret discoveries is Gavel and Lad will be Gavel version of Junes
