    Hi everyone,

I am enjoying Wynncraft very much so far, but it kind of feel like a single-player experience for me as I don't have any friend that still play Minecraft.

I know there are guilds, but as a low lvl player, I don't have much money and exp to offer, so I am hesitant in joining one.

So, I would like to hear about your multiplayer experience. What are the ways to interact with the Wynncraft community beside guilds? Also if u have any advice for me, feel free to share it too.

    Thanks

The forums and discord can let you interact. Also dungeon parties and grinding parties (herb cave, glowbulb, etc.) Also community events can also make you feel more connected

Profession parties! Usually groups of 10+ prof tryhards form a party and we just start grinding profs away, usually for hours. Sometimes, if we get really in the mood, we could grind all day! Costs IRL money for the bombs though.

    msg crokee for overflow party

Wynn isn't really a server where you can hop on with your friends and start playing, Think of it like you're watching a show with your friend. You are then only technically allowed to watch the show with your friend. It's like that, but instead of the show's watchtime going in a linear pattern, it can change, so after 5 minutes, you may be 5 minutes in, but your friend (through a stroke of luck) may be 10 minutes in. And then, if you and your friend agree on an episode for someone to "stop" at, so that the other can catch up and they can watch it together, then the other one will either get so bored that they end up continuing on one or two quests anyway or just explore until they find something really cool and just want to reach that area as soon as possible.

    Does that make sense?

Anyway, my point is, its multiplayer community kind of focuses on meeting new people who are already around your skill area through forums, discord, and guilds! A great example is the ??? quest, the first time I did it (pretty recently) I met some really cool people, and it may have taken an infuriating amount of time, but it was time well spent :)

Just kidding. It was horrible. The people were still cool though.

Also, guilds are an exciting part of Wynncraft. You can really immerse yourself in a guild before you even hit endgame. You can help out in wars in your level range, and just basically learn about the meta. So yeah, it has many multiplayer components, but maybe not in the way one would think.

I get what you mean, the only chance that you are on the same pace as your friends are by playing together every single minute, which is impossible. Not that I have friends irl to play Wynn with, as English is not our first language.

I really look forward to meeting new ppl on Wynn, and now I am both hype and scared about the ??? quest, you guys got me hooked!

As for guilds, I don't usually play MMORPG, so I am kind of in the dark about its function, benefit and appeal. If you don't mind, can you guys tell me more?

    Thanks :D

The main reason for joining a guild is of course, the community in it. A guild can answer some questions you might have about wynncraft. Like, if you're stuck in a quest somewhere and you can't find a solution online, maybe one of your guildmates can help you get out of it. Your guild can so help you defeat bosses easier, if you ever need them. Guilds and guild wars are all completely optional, but I think involving yourself in a community will make wynncraft less stale after the first few playthroughs and burn you out slower.

So my advice to you would be that you can easily play alone until you are level 50, you can even play alone beyond that. What I recommend is finding a good sub community which you like. A sub community is basically a small division of the main community - for example I am part of the theorist sub-community, where we theorise about the game's lore. There are also sub communities for class builds, trading, crafting, loot runs, dungeon runs, boss battles, helping new players - so many choices.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy Wynncraft. If you ever want any help just message me :)

tbh most of the time I play wynn it's like singleplayer so I don't bother, most of the friends i've made along the way (shut up) I just met casually when doing quests and they turned out to be cool people so I friended them and yea, also from ??? and dungeon parties (like ppl above said), but ur certainly not forced to play multiplayer (well, except for quests like ??? and bob's lost soul/reincarnation, also EO)

In my experience, which isn't very much or very recent I will admit, multiplayer is most fun when doing quests. Grinding and exploring isn't a lot of fun when doing it with others as someone will always be lagging behind, but if you level ahead of time, you can have a lot of fun doing a series of quests with the other person.
